On today’s Daytime Confidential podcast Luke Kerr, Jamey Giddens and Jillian Bowe debate the latest All My Children, The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, One Life to Live and The Young and the Restless headlines and storylines, including:
Eileen Davidson has decided to leave Days of Our Lives to spend time with her family. Should Davidson return to The Young and the Restless as Ashley Abbott ,or should she wait until it’s in better shape? If Davidson does return to Y&R,should she demand to see a full-fledged storyline projection first, so she doesn’t end up like Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden?
Who will fill Kristen’s bad girl stilettos when Davidson splits Salem? Teresa continues to drive Jennifer crazy on Days of Our Lives.
Luke wouldn’t mind having a Time Warner Cable blackout, if it means not having to watch last week’s painful The Young and the Restless. Adam was accused of rape by Lucky Charms. Does anyone care about Neil’s mystery? Chelsea gives birth. Why is Abby in such lame corporate storylines? No one wants to see the character of Carmine destroyed. Sharon has her eye on ex-hubby Nick.
William deVry is Julian Jerome on General Hospital. Is deVry age-appropriate for the role? Julian has connections all over the canvas, from Sam to the much missed Lucas. Is Ava a mob assassin? Holly and Luke hold up a bank. READ MORE
Who knew Tamar Braxton and her husband Vincent Herbert had such awesome taste in soap characters? Braxton revealed to Us Weekly she and her hubby named their new baby, Logan, after The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang)!
Said The Real co-host:
"Vince loves the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. We tape it every day," says Braxton, who married the record executive in 2008 and stars alongside him in WE tv's Tamar & Vince, a spinoff of Braxton Family Values. "There is a character named Brooke Logan, and we got Logan from her last name because we wanted the initials LV. Logan kind of stuck with us -- we really like it." READ MORE
Let the shade begin! Tamar Braxton recently spoke with Coco Fab TV at the BET Awards and dished her upcoming talk show, The Real, premiering July 15 in select markets. Here's an excerpt of the reality starlet and R&B singer comparing and contrasting her new syndicated show to ABC daytime's gabfest, The View:
I get to be a real grown up [laughs]. The Real is like The View but its from a younger perspective and opinions that we care about. You know what I mean? It’s so great and it’s so positive. We just started shooting it last week and it’s the most amazing experience I’ve ever been a part of. [The View] is almost like listening to your great aunt or great grandmother, without being disrespectful, but The Real is like your girlfriends, your sister, your cousin. Somebody’s opinion that you respect, but you can agree to disagree. Like Tamera and I have totally different opinions, but we real cool [laughs]. It’s like come check in with your girlfriends on The Real.
Great grandmother and great aunt? Dang Tamar, The View crew ain't that old! Watch the entire interview after the jump! READ MORE
