All My Children Releases Photo Series

In celebration of All My Children's 40th anniversary, the sudser has released 40 memorable photos, available for purchase at abcdaytimefans.com. Fans can obtain pictures of past and present stars, including snapshots of the face of daytime, Susan Lucci. At a press conference, Lucci dished to Fancast's Sara Bibel about how the photos took her on a trip down memory lane. Says Lucci,

I remember those beginning rehearsals and the beginning company of actors.  When I see a picture like this, I think of so many scenes with Mona (Fran Heflin).  I think of Ruth Warwick.  It was a different time.  We shot as if it were a play, from beginning to end.  We would get our notes, our criticisms, as a company of actors.  It was a bonding experience to be humiliated in front of each other that way. But it was a great opportunity to learn as a young actress from very experienced actors and actresses, to hear Ruth Warwick talk about Orson Welles… to hear Fran Heflin talk about being on Broadway with Marlon Brando.

The diva of daytime opens up on working with AMC newcomer Michael Nouri.

AMC's Michael Nouri to Zap2it: "I Have Great Respect For The People Who do Daytime"

Veteran primetime actor Michael Nouri gave new All My Children leading lady and the rest of the daytime community mad props in a recent interview with Zap2it.com. The Brothers and Sisters guest star, who appeared on Search for Tomorrow in the 70's, compared and contrasted what it was like for soap actors then and now.

"I have great respect for the people who do daytime television," Nouri adds. "Back in the days when I did 'Search,' we had teleprompters (displays showing dialogue or other instructions) ... which never worked for me. I found them to be very distracting.

"Now actors have to learn pages and pages of dialogue, and I'm not used to that. We'll see how that goes for me. Susan (Lucci) is going to be my teacher." READ MORE

Michael Nouri on Caleb's Opinion of Erica Kane: "She’s Got a Voice Like a Police Siren"

TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan caught up with Michael Nouri to find out what All My Children fans can expect from his character Caleb’s upcoming storyline with Erica Kane (Susan Lucci).

Any guesses? Do you sense it was something heavy?

I think it had to be something really dramatic for this guy to pull up stakes and live in the woods and be able to make peace with it. Very few people could do that. I’m guessing he wasn’t always a loner. Maybe he’s dealing with a broken heart. Maybe he’s disillusioned with the government and opposed to paying taxes. Maybe he’s had it with society in general. There’s a scene where Erica says “I hate you!” and Caleb says: “I just want to thank you for reminding me why I love living alone.” He’s a monosyllabic guy. And he thinks she’s got a voice like a police siren.
