General Hospital’s Laura Wright, Sean Blakemore, Haley Pullos and Jen Lilley (pictured above) were among the soap stars and industry members who celebrated the 2012 Daytime Emmy nominees at the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception on June 14 by the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception presented by the Television Academy (or Academy of Television Arts & Sciences).

Held at the SLS Hotel, the reception helped kick off the festivities leading up to daytime’s biggest night on June 23. See more photos after the jump!

Ellen premiered a new soap-within-a-talk show, My Fair & Square Lady, this week. In its debut episode, Days of our Lives star Drake Hogestyn turns out to be the groom at Ellen’s mysterious wedding.

Later in the spoof series, which is part of Ellen's JC Penney campaign, The Young and the Restless’ Stephen Nichols and Jeanne Cooper show up. Nichols starts out wearing an eye patch, until Cooper arrives and reminds him he hasn’t been on that soap for years. A classic slap fest erupts and it is revealed Cooper enjoys Fifty Shades of Grey, just in time for an epic cliffhanger revelation.

The Young and the Restless’ Stephen Nichols and Julia Pace Mitchell were among the celebrities who attended the P.S. Arts Evening of Modernism at Barker Hanger on May 4. Y&R guest star Catherine Bach and Modern Family’s Julie Bowen also popped up at the benefit in Santa Monica. 

The P.S. Arts “works to educate and empower classroom teachers through arts-related workshops that demonstrate how to integrate creative expression and the arts into core academic subjects.”

TV Guide Magazine: What brings her back to Genoa City?

Morgan: She has no idea what's been happening with Devon — that his father, Tucker [Stephen Nichols], is the son of Katherine Chancellor [Jeanne Cooper]. In fact, that's still a big secret in Genoa City until Phyllis [Michelle Stafford] puts the story on the Internet. Harmony sees the news on a customer's laptop while working at the diner and makes a beeline to Genoa City to reconnect with Devon. Needless to say, she doesn't get a warm reception. Devon's furious that she abandoned him and doesn't want anything to do with her.
