One Life to Live and Guiding Light Alums Fight Cancer at Daytime Stars and Strikes (PHOTOS)

Former One Life to Live and Guiding Light stars came together at the 9th Annual Daytime Stars and Strikes charity bowling event on Oct. 7 at Bowlmor Lanes in New York City. Hosted by Jerry verDorn (ex–Clint, OLTL; ex-Ross, GL) and Elizabeth Keifer (ex-Blake, GL), the event helped raise money to strike out cancer and support the American Cancer Society. OLTL Stars Pop up at NEWSical The Musical Opening Night

Former One Life to Live stars Shenell Edmonds (pictured above), Sean Ringgold (pictured above), Ilene Kristen, Tonja Walker and Shenaz Treasury were among the stars who turned out for the opening night return of NEWSical The Musical on February 1. The off-Broadway show premiered an updated set lampooning headline grabbers and news makers at Theatre Row’s The Kirk Theatre in New York City. Looks like the Mannings will still have Shaun watching their backs when One Life to Live jumps to the web and other platforms in January 2012. Soap Opera Network is reporting Sean Ringgold has inked a deal with Prospect Park to continue with the series.

One Life to Live Showrunner Frank Valentini and Cast Members to Speak at SAG Event


The last New York City soap opera standing, ABC Daytime's One Life to Live, will be discussed during a panel presented by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Foundation this Nov. 2 at 7 pm EST. Panelists include: executive producer Frank Valentini and cast members Gina Tognoni, Florencia Lozano, Sean Ringgold, Kristen Alderson, David Gregory, Hillary B. Smith and Kassie DePaiva. The festivities will be held at the Paley Center and will be moderated by Entertainment Weekly's Abby West.  One Life to Live has definitely gotten its groove back, so I am glad to see it being celebrated.
