Everyone ready for the carnival madness? Wait, it’s happening east coast time as I type. Say buh-bye to Andrea Floyd as the mayor’s wife has no one but herself to blame for her demise. What about Jake? He’s hurt and mommy’s so relieved to see Uncle Nik she plants a big fat kiss on him. Kristina? Where did she go? Finally gets a few scenes with her pops and she vanishes. Will Michael ride into the rescue? What does Kiefer have to do with the missing Kristina?

Morgan is ok thanks to his brother from yet another mother. Will that bro need some medical assistance of the DNA kind? SPOILERS say Olivia is relieved when Dante doesn’t need a transplant but is her secret already out? Speaking of secrets… will Michael remember his comatose days? Will Jax burst Claudia’s bubble, finally? Will Michael start playing some games of his own with step daddy dearest?

Who else is getting their kiss on? Sonny and Olivia! I can’t decide if I like these two together or not. Some ASSUME a Sonny – Olivia hook up means Sarah Brown is exiting when her time is up. THE STORY: A pretty young woman arrives in town whose at-first-glance harmlessness is quickly revealed to be a thin veil for a scheming sociopath. She is pining after "the man who got away" and is hellbent on getting him any way she can. She's a lethal mix of Little Debbie and Lizzie Borden, unhealthy amounts of saccharine mixed with dead-eyed lunacy. With gleam in her cuckoo for cocoa puff eyes, she embarks on a reign of terror of blackmail and personal vendettas. The she-devil tangles with an older woman who know her evil ways and does her damndest to banish the rivals for her insane affection. She even uses a pregnancy to try to snare her quarry. Her delusions grow just as fast as her enemies list until they've had enough....

The evil on a stick chicka I am referring to is not One Life to Live's kewpie doll psycho Stacy Morasco (Crystal Hunt), but rather the thoroughly unbalanced, off the wall Nora Fulton from The Edge of Night. READ MORE

Who cares?

My absence from Daytime Confidential lately has not been due to the usual business of family and work taking up a lot of my time, but rather a certain lack energy to post about practically any of the daytime serials that clog up my DVR from day to day. This is neither a positive nor a negative thing because there are frequent periods throughout the year when shows kind of coast along and do their their thing, usually between sweeps.

At these times, there is little for the viewer — if that viewer is me — to get all worked up about this plot twist, that character's action, some couple or another or even a whole show's direction. Normally, this state of affairs hits one or two shows at a time. Every once in a while like the last couple of weeks, the stars align and all the serials get caught in the same momentum of drift. All that is required of us is to watch and see where it all goes.

In that spirit, my brain plays a little game of soap opera hopscotch, taking in odds and ends big and small. There is no great elaboration on anything here, just a quick rundown of things I like and not like so much. Your mileage may vary... READ MORE

It looks like Sarah Brown is clamoring to work with Nathan Parson on General Hospital, according to The Suds Report. I tell you what, this young man has certainly capitvated GH's A-List stars. Doesn't anybody wanna work with poor Greg Vaughan? He was on Charmed you know!

Next thing you know Tony Geary, Brown and Maurice Benard are gonna get into fisticuffs over Parsons on one of those expensive new sets. Sonya Eddy and Becky Herbst will have to break it up. I hope Fronsie bought good insurance! They're gonna need  that set in relative good shape for Jon and Kate's talk show in a couple of years.

More newbies? Dominic is hitting PC and RUMORS have someone from Kate’s past popping in as well. But will it stop there? Is Sam getting a visit from an old flame once again? Is Claudia his only Port Chuckles connection? One RUMOR says while Claudia brings him to town (Sarah Brown revealed she starts filming with him today). Don’t forget that Kristina is mentioned as well. Is someone named Chris hitting town? Is he Sam’s blast from the past?

Carly/Claudia… No matter what the character name, both ladies like to plot and plan and their schemes usually end all the same, in a big old mess. Claudia brings Dominic to town but his arrival MAY wreck a little havoc on a few PC residents.
