No. 10: Robert Scott Wilson, All My Children
All My Children's casting department won the showcase showdown when they found The Price is Right model Robert Scott Wilson for the role of Petey, err, Pete Cortlandt. Wilson brought charisma, charm, maturity and one killer bod to the part of Palmer (the late James Mitchell) and Opal's (Jill Larson) son.
Not even Wilson could save Pete's insipid relationship with virginal Celia (Jordan Lane Price) on the internet soap. However, the digital sparks Wilson and fellow outstanding newbie Brooke Newton created when Pete and Colby were sexing up our second screens, had us needing to download an app for cooling down our laptops, tablets and smartphones. AJ (Eric Nelsen) played Tickle Me Elmo with Miranda (Denyse Tontz) until she demanded he stop or she’d upchuck. I just don’t buy them as a romantic pairing. At the rate their friendship is going, one of these days I fully expect to see him braiding her hair while she decides what to dress him up in.
The two ended up on the beach, where AJ rubbed sunscreen on her. More tickling ensued, and they were soon interrupted by Heather (Stevie Steel) and some girls. Later, AJ went to get ice cream with Heather and left Miranda by herself. Of course, Hunter (Daniel Covin) and one of his friends showed up. The two started bullying Miranda about the size of her breasts and being a lesbian. All My Children REALLY needs to work the dialogue for its bullies. It is so stilted it's uncomfortable to watch. All My Children's Jesse Hubbard (Darnell Williams) just can't seem to get a handle on this co-parenting thing. First he misses out on Frankie's formative years, due to that whole, pesky, presumed death business. Then he neglects to tell Angie (Debbi Morgan) he fathered a daughter with another woman during said presumptive death.
No sooner than the Mrs. got past all of that, did this fool lie to Angie about their baby daughter dying and switching the deceased brat with some other tyke!
To be fair, Jesse was only trying to surprise his beloved by flying her adopted daughter Cassandra (Sal Stowers) home from Paris. The problem is, instead of netting some serious frequent flyer miles, Cassie wound up sold as a sex slave!
The week of June 10, Jesse will do the unthinkable to bring Cassandra home safe. Will the pact he makes with Russian money launderer and sex trafficker Uri (Martin Harvey) blow up in the cop's face? READ MORE
Since talk of Prospect Park renewing their efforts to bring back One Life to Live and All My Children first began, the production company has benefited tremendously from guerilla-style, social media marketing from the sudsers' passionate stars. Legendary actors Vincent Irizarry, Cady McClain, Jill Larson, Debbi Morgan, Kassie DePaiva and Robin Strasser have led the charge in spreading positive news about the endeavors. They've been aided by newcomers like Rob Wilson, Sal Stowers, Eric Nelsen and Rob Gorrie.
Many of these stars have been working overtime to quell panic from fans since Prospect Park announced they were cutting their weekly number of episodes in half. Below are a sample of their tweets and Facebook posts:
Oh, ye of little faith...The Online Network has finally announced what yours truly told you two weeks ago. Michael Nader is back at All My Children!
The former Count Andrassy will return to Pine Valley, when Brooke (Julia Barr) offers him a job at Chandler Media, a new arm of Chandler Enterprises. According to my sources, Dimitri will also be caught up in Jesse (Darnell Williams) and Zach's (Thorsten Kaye) quest to bring home Angie's (Debbi Morgan) daughter Cassandra (Sal Stowers). READ MORE
