This exit storyline for Bo (Peter Reckell) has to be one of the most boring things Days of Our Lives has offered up in awhile, which is saying something! While he was going around town telling people how excited he was to retrace his and Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) past, Hope was telling Marlena (Deidre Hall) she isn’t as enthused about the idea.
An article in this week's Soap Opera Digest previewing Peter Reckell's (Bo) exit story has Days of Our Lives fans fired up. Apparently budget cuts at the Salem Police Department cause Bo to quit. Former Days of Our Lives leading man Peter Reckell is having as tough a time saying goodbye to Beauregard "Bo" Brady—the mega popular character he's played on and off since 1983—as his fans are. In an interview with About.com, Reckell went in depth about what he calls a bittersweet time in his life, and how his fans are helping him through. Here's a snippet:
Before heading to the studio, Reckell had a heart-to-heart with his wife, Kelly Moneymaker. “I said, ‘It’s astounding the support and love that I’ve been getting over these last few days, these last few weeks,” says Reckell, referring to the time leading up to his departure from the soap. “I have the best fans. To know that these people -- yes, they’re going to miss Bo – but that they will be there for me, if I’m doing other projects... And I will keep them posted, as I’m going through the next phase of my life, of what’s happening. READ MORE
