Tika Sumpter SCANDALIZES Promo for Tyler Perry's 'The Haves and the Have Nots'! (VIDEO)

Soap operas are coming to OWN after all! As part of The Mighty O's programming pact with Tyler Perry, the one-man entertainment brand has created a sudsy, new drama entitled The Haves and The Have Nots for Ms. Winfrey's previously touchy-feely channel.

Based on one of Perry's stage plays, The Haves and The Have Nots is the upstairs/downstairs saga of a ruthlessly-wealthy WASP family and an African-American clan headed up by their God-fearing housekeeper.

The soap stars Dukes of Hazzard alum John Schneider as Judge Jim Cryer, patriarch of the powerful Cryer dynasty. Judge Cryer has been secretly paying for the services of high-priced escort Candace Young (One Life to Live's Tika Sumpter), who just so happens to be the long-lost daughter of his family's church-going housekeeper Hanna (In The Heat of The Night's Crystal Fox)!

Passions alum Eva Tamargo appears as Celine, chef to the Cryer family. Peter Parros (As The World Turns) stars as David Harrington, a wealthy friend of the Cryers. Gavin Houston (Guiding Light) portrays Jeffrey Harrington, substance abuse counselor for the Cryer's troubled son Wyatt (Aaron O'Connell). Watch the steamy trailer below!

When The Color Purple's Sofia Met Madea

Jesus in a manger! I always knew if Tyler Perry  had the opportunity to get his hands on The Color Purple, he would somehow have that gun-toting Granny Madea in there. Well, the multi-hyphenated phenom got his recently chance, in a manner of speaking.

To promote Perry’s shows, Love Thy Neighbor and The Haves and Have Nots coming to OWN, Oprah Winfrey slipped back into her famous Sofia role from The Color Purple, and Perry transformed himself back into his breakout character. Winfrey revealed the picture on Twitter and stated:

Chris Brown on Oprah Interview: "I've Been Invited; I Just Say No at This Point"

Don't hold your breath, waiting for an Oprah Winfrey sit-down with troubled, R&B singer Chris Brown. During an interview on New York’s Hot 97 radio station, Brown admitted the Mighty O has reached out to him for a one-on-one, but he’s refused, out of fear she may attack him over his 2009 abuse of girlfriend Rihanna. Brown stated:

"I’ve been invited, I just say no at this point. I’ll go to people that I’m comfortable with. I never wanna be in a situation where I feel like I’m attacked or I’m gonna be trapped. I think I’m paying for whatever I’ve done and I’ve learned from it and I’m moving forward, so I only want to surround myself with the people that are about positivity."

To find out what Brown has to say about his relationship with Rihanna today, and his feud with rapper Drake, watch the video below! READ MORE

Oprah to Steve Harvey: "I Do Have Big Breastesses"

No, you aren't reading a typo. Oprah Winfrey stopped by Steve Harvey's talk show to clear the air on a very interesting topic. The Mighty O discussed with Harvey the upcoming all-star movie, The Butler, where she has a love scene with Terrence Howard. Recently, Howard was asked what it was like filming a steamy romantic scene with the talk show maven, where he remarked:

To be able to make out with Oprah, to have love scenes with her and those tig ol' bitties — she's such a lovely and voluptuous woman. ... She's very, very, very beautiful, and that was wonderful.

Word got back to Winfrey about what Howard said about her chest, and she fired back:

Some people called me saying that they all were offended and I go, ‘Well, I do have big breastesses."
