Former Desperate Housewives Exec Backs Up Nicollette Sheridan's Claims!

Things just got a little more tense behind-the-scenes at Wisteria Lane. According to The Hollywood Reporter, an ex-showrunner of Desperate Housewives is backing up the allegations Nicollette Sheridan has made in her wrongful termination and sex discrimination case against the show. Emmy-winning TV producer Lori Kirkland Baker,  who previously worked on the ABC smash hit, has filed a sworn declaration in Sheridan's case which supports the star's claims. READ MORE

Nicollette Sheridan Claims ABC Brushed Off Assault Claim as a "Light Tap"

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan has updated her lawsuit against Marc Cherry and ABC. Back in April, Sheridan filed the suit alleging Housewives creator Cherry physically assaulted her. According to Sheridan, when she complained to ABC she was fired. In her updated suit, the actress claims when she took her grievances to ABC, her complaint was investigated and she was told she just received a "light tap on the side of her head." DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES SCANDAL: Nicollette Sheridan SUES Marc Cherry, Claims Assault!



A not so beautiful day in the neighborhood. The onscreen drama of ABC's Desperate Housewives appears not to hold a candle to the hit soap opera/comedy's behind-the-scenes shenanigans, that is, if you believe the shocking claims of one former series regular. Nicollette Sheridan, who for five seasons stole husbands and scenes on Wisteria Lane as maneater Edie Britt, is suing DH creator Marc Cherry for a cool $20 million, claiming assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination. TMZ broke the story on Monday.

According to the website's report, Sheridan— who shot to fame as Paige Mathison on the long-running CBS primetime sudser Knots Landing (She also brought my all-time favorite fiction heroine, Lucky Santangelo to life in the 1990 NBC minseries Lucky Chances!)— says the former Golden Girls scribe struck her across the head and face on set when she asked about a line in the script. Sheridan Rips "Housewives" Cherry

The saga between Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt) and show creator Marc Cherry is starting to heat up. TV Guide Magazine spoke to the actress who states she would've left the show earlier on but she and the other ladies of the show, were locked into a contract and weren't able to leave. The star also gives her view on why Cherry killed off the vixen.
Somebody up there really wanted her dead. I think whoever Edie represented in Marc's life was somebody he didn't like. And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction.

 

Ouch! She doesn't mince words! Sheridan also talked about how she felt Cherry overlooked her by never adding her to the dramedy's opening credits, and barely mentioning her when interviewed.  Here's what Cherry had to say in response:

Desperate Housewives' Edie Britt Bites It


Desperate Housewives' Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) got zapped like a mosquito in the summer, on Sunday's episode. This after she inadvertently saved Katherine's (Dana Delany) life, escaped being strangled by her husband, avoided killing a masked Orson Hodge (Kyle MacLachlan) by swerving to avoid him in the street and crashing into an electrical pole.

Eva Longoria "Can't Imagine" Desperate Housewives Without Nicollette Sheridan


Word that Nicollette Sheridan will be leaving Wisteria Lane surprised Desperate Housewives' fans and now Extra has Eva Longoria's reaction. 

"I love her so much as a person and I love the character of Edie Britt, that I can't imagine the show without her," a shocked Parker tells Extra.
