The tiff between The Young and the Restless' Eric Braeden and How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris just got even nastier. The Y&R actor spoke with The Hollywood Reporter yesterday stating that Harris could:
"get his teeth knocked in for that kind of nonsense."
Huh... Braeden admits he bowed out of the guest starring role due to being tired from the work at Y&R and hip surgery, but also reveals he was given few lines on the primetime show:
"Two lines, I don't do that for anyone."

Eric Braeden to Deadline Re: Neil Patrick Harris: "It's Christmastime And I Forgive Him For His Transgression"
By Jillian Bowe on December 17, 2010

Here we go again. The Young and the Restless' Eric Braeden released a statement to Deadline regarding How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris slamming Braeden for backing out of his guest spot. Braeden stated:
I have been in this business for 50 years, have seen so many actors come and go -- most of them never to be seen or heard from again. I suggest whoever this young fellow is that he enjoy his success and count his blessings and save his money. My first time on [HIMYM] I enjoyed working with the writers, directors, and crew enormously. However, I did not have the pleasure of meeting most of the cast, including this fellow who put his foot in his mouth by saying what he did. It's Christmastime and I forgive him for his transgression." Braeden says he pulled out of the HIMYM appearance partly due to exhaustion. "I have been overworked at Y&R. I have been doing 40 and 50 pages a day. I was [also] not aware of what they wanted me to do until the day before.
Eric Braeden on Neil Patrick Harris: "He'd Better Not Cross My Path"
By Jillian Bowe on December 17, 2010

Eric Braeden isn't letting How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris' tweet bother him. Entertainment Weekly spoke to The Young and the Restless' actor about the tweet heard around the Internet, concerning Braeden passing on reprising his role on HIMYM.
I really don’t know who that fellow is. He’s a guy who stars in that series,” Braeden told EW, laughing. “It’s very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I’ve doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I’m exhausted. I was not about appear on a show for two lines, because that’s what it amounted to.”
Braden went on to issue a warning to Harris stating:
“If he is a worthy adversary, he’d better not cross my path. I will let bygones be bygones.”
HIMYM's Neil Patrick Harris: "Eric Braeden is a D-Bag"
By Jillian Bowe on December 17, 2010

Lord in the morning! Seems like the welcome wagon over at How I Met Your Mother has sped away from Eric Braeden. The Young and the Restless star was called out by Neil Patrick Harris regarding his upcoming apperance on the show once again on Twitter. Braeden, who previously played the role of Robin's dad, felt the role wasn't considerable enough for him. Harris stated:
Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. the actor, (Robin's dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn't 'substantial' enough. We've recast with Ray Wise, a fantastic actor who makes any part 'substantial'. Super excited to welcome him to the family!
