Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia Find Love Again in The Grove

Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia followed up their time as lesbian lovers Olivia Spencer and Natalia Rivera on Guiding Light with a second act in Chappell’s web soap Venice. Now it appears the pair are ready for a third act. Chappell’s production company Open Book Productions has released the trailer for its new web series The Grove.

Starring Chappell and Leccia as Nico and Ivy, The Grove features a cast brimming with popular soap stars. Robert Woods, Jordan Clarke, Beth Maitland, Christian LeBlanc, Michelle Stafford, Nadia Bjorlin, Peter Reckell, Linsey Godfrey, Judi Evans and Bobbie Eakes are among The Grove’s stars. Bjorlin: I have heard she's going to come back as her old self again, the Chloe with good self-esteem, a stronger and more confident Chloe who can really stand up for herself and not be bullied. Toward the end there, she was being bullied by everyone in Salem! No more. She's coming back a lot more mature and who knows? [Laughs] Maybe she'll get some revenge! There are so many possibilities for the character and they've only told me a little bit right now because they don't trust me with the information. It's been very hush-hush. Soap Stars Celebrate at 2012 Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception

General Hospital’s Laura Wright, Sean Blakemore, Haley Pullos and Jen Lilley (pictured above) were among the soap stars and industry members who celebrated the 2012 Daytime Emmy nominees at the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception on June 14 by the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reception presented by the Television Academy (or Academy of Television Arts & Sciences).

Held at the SLS Hotel, the reception helped kick off the festivities leading up to daytime’s biggest night on June 23. See more photos after the jump!

Looks like Chloe Jonas won't be hitting high notes in Salem anytime soon. According to the Feb. 21 issue of Soap Opera Digest, contract talks between the brass at Days of Our Lives and Nadia Bjorlin have broken down. According to the mag, salary and length of work cycles were sticking points. Are you sad Chloe won't be coming home on DAYS?
