Emmy Moments: MUST SEE!

If you haven't watched a single Emmy Moments clip that we've posted than this is the one you'll want to check out. 1985's 12th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards features a who's who of stars in the opening seconds and the 80's hairstyles in the first 1.04 minutes are worth the watch, trust me.

Be sure to keep a look out for Kim Zimmer, Peter Reckell, Melody Thomas, Susan Lucci and Jack Wagner. For someone who was only six at the time and is watching this for the first time it's quite a blast from the past.

All My Children: Tad and Dixie's Heavenly Reunion

Check out this Tad and Dixie's "reunion" on All My Children. Now I realize that AMC is milking Cady McClain's return for all it's worth but now that we've actually seen a heavenly reunion between Tad and Dixie one has to wonder how long it will be before Dixie returns to Pine Valley alive and well. Didn't Jesse have a heavenly reunion with Tad five to six years ago?

Now if it were `up to me, and it's not, I'd figure out a way to bring back Gillian. The last time I liked Ryan was when he was with Gillian and not for nothing but wouldn't it be great to have a little bit of nobility back in Pine Valley?

All My Children: Jesse and Angie's Wedding gets the CGI treatment

It looks like General Hospital's Jason, Sam and Liz aren't the only ABC characters worthy of a little CGI magic. According to TV Guide's Michael Logan, the climax of Jesse and Angie's wedding cliff, er, copterhanger will boast special effects from Stargate Digital, the same LA-based CGI firm that created the ferry boat disaster episode on Grey's Anatomy, as well as special effects for NBC's Heroes.

As previously reported, heroine Dr. Angie Hubbard (Debbie Morgan) will be kidnapped by her BFF Tad Martin's nefarious bio-uncle Robert Gardner via helicopter. The CGI effects will come in handy during scenes where Jesse (Darnell Williams) hangs onto the helicopter in a fight scene with David Rache's Robert, while Angie flies the chopper. Oh...you didn't know the good doc could pilot a helicopter? Like Chaka said, she's Every Woman. Also look for Tad (Michael E. Knight) to require emergency surgery at some point during the drama and for the reformed tomcat to finally see the spirit of his beloved Dixie (Cady McClain) Set your DVR reminders for May 21 when it all goes down on All My Children.

BREAKING NEWS: Ehlers Officially OUT at Guiding Light, IN at All My Children, but as WHO???

Soap Opera Weekly is officially confirming-via-this week's cover story- that Beth Ehlers has indeed jumped ship from Guiding Light and will be joining her former GL onscreen boo Ricky Paull Goldin (ex- Gus, now Jake) in a love triangle with Jake's brother Tad (Michael E. Knight) at All My Children

As the soap magazine went to press, sources indicated Ehlers would re-create the role of Liza Colby Chandler, Adam's ex-wife and the mother of the recently SORAS'ed Colby, just in time for Liza to face off with high school rivals Jesse and Angie (Darnell Williams and Debbie Morgan) and the soon-to-be returning object of Liza's girlhood affections Greg Nelson (Laurence Lau).

Since the magazine went to bed however, rumors have since rebounded that it will be Hayley Vaughan Santos that Ehlers will be playing. Daytime Confidential sources shared  the soap allegedly tried to get Marcy Walker back as Liza, but Walker declined the offer to continue work with her church. Then there are rumors afoot that original Hayley, Kelly Ripa wasn't too pleased about the prospect of her signature soap role being recast.

Personally I think Ehlers would be mismatched as Liza, but would make a near perfect Nu-Hay-Lo. I love, love, LOVE K. Rip to DEATH, but she'll be back in Pine Valley about the same time Meg Ryan or Julianne Moore pays a visit to Oakdale. Ehlers' GL co-star Crystal Chappell-with a blonde dye job-would be a much better fit as snarky-yet-heartfelt Liza. This is worse than trying to figure out who is ahead between Hillary and Barack! Will Ehlers resurrect Uncle Porkchop's favorite niece or Jesse and Jenny's worst nightmare?  Thanks Gush 900 for the SOW head's up!

DAYTIME CONFIDENTIAL EXCLUSIVE: All My Children Cast Spotted In L.A. To Film Location Shoot!

Daytime Confidential's good pal Nelson Branco from TV Guide Canada just called to inform me he ran into several members of the cast of All My Children, who are apparently in L.A. to film location scenes for the upcoming kidnapping climax following the wedding of Jesse and Angie (Darnell Williams and Debbi Morgan) airing May 21 and 22.

Branco is in L.A. for the GLAAD Awards, held yesterday, and has promised us tons of juicy daytime and primetime dish from the event, so keep checking back! Branco spotted such stars as Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake), Michael E. Knight (Tad), Cornelius Smith Jr. (Frankie), David Rasche (Ray Gardner) as well as Williams and Morgan. Several of the actors are eating in the same hotel restaurent where Nelson is having brunch as I type this!

As previously reported, Angie Hubbard will be abducted following her much anticipated wedding to Jesse and dramatically carried away from her true love via helicopter! Nelson is theorizing that Rob Gardner, the sociopath brother of AMC's late villain Ray Gardner, is the one who will kidnap the heroine. READ MORE
