All My Children's Leading Men to Do Cooking Segments on The Talk Same Week The Chew Premieres in Their Timeslot?!By Jamey Giddens on September 14, 2011
I wonder why Les Moonves and Brian Frons don't just whip out their wee-diddles and measure 'em? It would certainly make more sense than all the head scratching moves that have taken place on the CBS and ABC Daytime lineups in recent years.
According to EW.com, All My Children leading men Michael E. Knight, Ricky Paull Goldin and Jacob Young will be appearing on The Talk the week of Sept. 26 as part of an "All My Meals" segment. The gents will discuss what Pine Valley meant to them, while cooking and carrying on with the ever-revolving cast of The Talk. No, this isn't one of my spoof posts, according to EW it's the real deal!
Paging All My Children lovers. Celebrity Events Group has announced "A Tribute To Pine Valley" events being held in New York and New Jersey starting Oct. 25. Fans of the sudser will get to spend time with AMC'ers: Walt Willey, Cameron Mathison, Michael E. Knight, Vincent Irizarry, Julia Barr, and Jacob Young. Check out the press release after the jump! In an interview with Smashing Interviews Magazine, All My Children’s Michael E. Knight talks about Cady McClain's return as Dixie and how the soap is giving fans closure as it wraps up.
Melissa Parker (Smashing Interviews Magazine): Cady McClain is returning to the show as Dixie Cooney Martin. Will this storyline give Tad/Dixie fans some closure?
Michael E. Knight: I think that’s going to be the way they’re looking at it. They’re also bringing back other characters, too, I think to sort of tie up … if it’s possible to tie up a 42 year run. I was lucky and the positioning was such that Cady could come back and reprise the role of Dixie. I certainly love working with her. She’s been a dear friend for a long time and is a wonderful actress.
They’re supposedly bringing her back from the dead (and we’re no stranger to that), but they’re bringing her back to have Tad and Dixie walk off in the proverbial sunset. I think that’s the way they’re looking at it. I always had such wonderful chemistry working with Cady. It will be nice to get a chance to do that. Other than that, I think they’re kind of struggling to give the audience some semblance of closure, bringing down the curtain as it were, but I think they’ll leave it open ended in case the show gets picked up somewhere else.
All My Children stars return for laughs on Hot in Cleveland! After Victoria (Wendie Malick) injures Susan Lucci (playing herself, of course!) Ms. Chase still gears up to play bit part on the sudser. Meanwhile, Joy (Jane Leeves) finds out the AMC actor (Michael E. Knight) she is currently dating has lied to her yet again, and is out for payback.
Hot In Cleveland airs at 10 PM EST on TV Land.
SPOILER ALERT: Fans who have been clamoring for a storyline for Michael E. Knight and his alter ego Tad on All My Children are in luck. Sources tell me the former cad will soon be getting hitched. Wanna know to whom? Keep reading! READ MORE
