TOLN isn’t leaving anything to chance with its new promo telling All My Children fans to get ready for the soap's return on April 29. The network has released a promo that heavily features classic scenes of beloved characters, such as Bianca (Eden Riegel), Angie (Debbi Morgan), Jesse (Darnell Williams), Zach (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke (Julia Barr), Adam (David Canary), Dixie (Cady McClain), Joe (Ray MacDonnell), Tad (Michel E. Knight), Myrtle (Eileen Herlie) and the dastardly David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry).

I couldn’t help but choke up rewatching Bianca’s coming out to Erica (Susan Lucci). The first nine minutes are a wonderful reminder of All My Children’s past, while the last minute gives viewers a taste of what’s to come. Will Dixie (Cady McClain) be living the single life in Pine Valley when All My Children returns? Soap Opera Digest  caught up Michael E. Knight (Tad) who said this about his status with the continuation:
 

With me, personally, it was simply an issue of timing, period. I consider [Executive Producer] Ginger Smith to be, actually, one of my oldest and dearest friends, in that industry and in life. And I had asked her for patience with me because as I like to put it, I didn't say no, I just said, 'I can't do it right now.' I love the fact that the interest is there and I firmly believe Tad is going to be walking through Pine Valley in short order at some point.

"Tad" (Michael E. Knight) and "Dixie" (Cady McClain) ended up in each other’s arms once again at the All My Children Martin Family Holiday Party on December 8 at Planet Dailies.  Knight and McClain were joined by their former AMC co-stars Lee Meriwether (ex-Ruth Martin), Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt), Bobbie Eakes (ex-Krystal Carey Martin), Amanda Baker (ex-Babe Chandler), Vincent Irizarry (ex-David Hayward), Terri Ivens (ex-Simone Torres), Danielle Parker (ex-Emma Lavery) and Tate Berney (ex-AJ Chandler).

All My Children alum Michael E. Knight told the truth and shamed the devils, aka Brian Frons and Julie Hanan Caruthers, in a new interview with Soap Opera Digest (on newsstands now). The actor, who played the infamous Tad Martin on and off for almost 30 years, and is now appearing in the play The Cost of the Erection, admitted he felt AMC hadn't been properly managed for years.

 "I felt personally that our show had been mismanaged pretty severely for the last few years. You could just feel that the show was in the wrong hands. Agnes [Nixon, creator] had been pushed to the side and we had sort of lost her identity." READ MORE
