Bitchy Bangs! One Life to Live alum Melissa Fumero has landed the female in a new Fox comedy pilot opposite of Andy Samberg, according to Deadline. The untitled project is reportedly a:
"single-camera ensemble project, which revolves around a diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City. Fumero, repped by Innovative and Corner Booth Entertainment, will play Amy, an attractive, smart detective who grew up in the outskirts of NYC. Before becoming a cop, she was a middle-school teacher, which is her hidden super-power — compared to sixth-graders, real life criminals are a piece of cake. When it comes to dating, she doesn’t date cops, though not for lack of opportunities."
Look who else in the Fumero household is heading to CBS! TV Line is reporting Melissa Fumero has booked a guest-starring role on CSI: NY. According to the site, the One Live to Live alum has signed on to play a close friend of tech geek Adam's (AJ Buckley). Fumero's airdate is scheduled for December.
ABC Soaps In Depth is reporting former One Life To Live star Melissa Fumero and Tika Sumpter are slated to appear on the show the week of Nov. 8. Look for the ladies to appear when Cristian (David Fumero) heads to Paris to see Layla.
One Life to Live’s Tika Sumpter celebrated her 30th birthday by partying it up with current and former co-stars David Fumero, Brittany Underwood, January LaVoy, Mark Lawson and Melissa Fumero at Slate NYC on June 19. Happy Birthday to Tika! See more photos after the jump! READ MORE
DC Exclusive: Melissa "Bitchy Bangs" Fumero Dishes OLTL Return, Being Haute & Bothered, and Serving Beer in HellBy Jillian Bowe on January 29, 2010
Ah those Cramer women from One Life to Live, here it is almost a month after I met with those wacky dames in New York and I still still find myself discovering gems from my various chats with Robin Strasser and Co.
One of my favorite conversations was with our girl, Melissa "Bitchy Bangs" Fumero, where I get the scoop on what she's been doing since leaving Llanview, like her Teen.com web soap Haute and Bothered, and her recent appearance in the Frat Lit movie I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. I also find out if Fumero, who returns to OLTL as Adriana this February Sweeps, will ever make a more permanent return engagement.
Daytime Confidential: So what brings Adriana back to Llanview this time?
Melissa Fumero: It's a serious family emergency. Kelly and Adriana have been hanging out in Paris, and I get a call. We come back to Llanview together actually.
Daytime Confidential: You know fans are still clamoring for you to return full time. Do you ever see yourself bringing Bitchy Bangs back to Llanview permanently?
MF: [pauses] It's not in the cards right now, but I believe in never saying never. It's been left open; it's always been left open for me thankfully. READ MORE
