The actor reportedly teased the crowd at the recent "Loving Llanview" event that his One Life to Live leading lady Melissa Archer, and her character Natalie Buchanan, would be following Easton's John McBain to Port Charles on General Hospital this May. Not true says a rep for the sudser to Soaps In Depth:

What in the world is going on? I actually feel bad for John McBain (Michael Easton) on One Life to Live! Now, I’m not completely heartless, the story alone can make anyone feel bad for the daddy in question. To have your almost wife, Natalie (Melissa Archer) lie to you about being a father and then to find out— on your wedding day no less— that the kid isn’t yours, but your best man’s, well that’s a doozy by anyone’s standards. But, to feel bad for John McBain, a character I normally detest? WTH? READ MORE

I have never fully understood the level of hatred One Life to Live’s Natalie (Melissa Archer) inspires in soap fans online. During the epic John (Michael Easton) and Natalie vs. John and Evangeline (Renee Elise Goldsberry) wars of yesteryear I got why passionate fans could hate a character they believed to be interfering with “their couple,” but to my recollection Natalie hasn’t been in a triangle that popular or controversial for quite some time. Recently, I’ve noticed the anti-Natalie sentiment resurfacing, Which makes me wonder, why do so many people seem to loathe Natalie?
