Mark Consuelos’ Alpha House Pilot Debuts on Amazon
By Luke Kerr on April 19, 2013Amazon isn’t waiting for upfronts to release the pilots for eight comedies and six children’s series. According to Variety, Amazon Studios will let consumers help determine which shows get picked up.
Ranging from the Washington D.C. based Alpha House, starring All My Children grad Mark Consuelos, John Goodman, Matt Malloy and Clark Johnson as politicians, to a TV version of Zombieland there is a something for everyone.
“Alpha House” – Created by Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Garry Trudeau, “Alpha House” is a live-action comedy about four Republican senators (John Goodman, Matt Malloy, Clark Johnson and Mark Consuelos) who live together in a Washington D.C. townhouse. Veteran TV helmer Adam Bernstein directed the pilot, featuring cameos from Bill Murray and Stephen Colbert.

Former All My Children star Mark Consuelos is headed to Washington D.C. According to Deadline, Consuelos has signed on to Amazon Studios’ comedy pilot Alpha House opposite of John Goodman. Reportedly,
Alpha House follows four senators who live together in a rented house in Washington DC. Consuelos will play one of them, Andy Guzman, a young, handsome, confident Senator with an excess of charm & swagger. An irresistible rogue. Goodman plays another Senator.

Former All My Children star Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo) and General Hospital alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie) are set to guest on NBC’s The New Normal, according to EW.com. Reportedly, they will appear in an episode titled “Gaydar.”
Consuelos will play a grip on Sing, the Glee-esque show created by Andrew Rannells’ Bryan, whom Rocky (Nene Leakes) develops a crush on. Meanwhile, Stamos will play a coworker of Ellen Barkin’s Jane whose sexuality is questioned by the conservative grandma.
