Soaps In Depth caught up with former General Hospital and The Young and the Restless star Marisa Ramirez and asked her about her role on Starz’s new period drama Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. The series, which premieres January 21, required Ramirez's first nude scene and gave her reason to pause.
"My soul took a big hit," she confesses. "It's not really life-changing, but once you do it, it's something you can never take back." Fortunately, the scenes, which take place with her character's gladiator spouse, Oenomaus, weren't gratuitous. "It's art... I was pleased with it," she states.
