General Hospital's Sean Blakemore Placed on Contract!

Soap Opera Digest is reporting General Hospital has placed Sean Blakemore (Shawn) on contract. I wonder if he will get to do more with Carly's (Laura Wright) body than guard it?

Regan Reax: Jake's Hit And Run, Day Three

The SLAP heard around Port Charles! I jumped when Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) smacked Jason (Steve Burton) across the face. My long awaited Jason-Liz scene was a little too short, but boy-oh-boy at least it came with a bang and few long over-due digs.

See, this is where my Liason fan-girl will come out. While many feel it was Elizabeth who pushed Jason out of Jake’s life, I always felt that Jason never fought for his son or Elizabeth. I readily agree that when it comes to Jason’s life, Sam (Kelly Monaco) is more accepting, but the night Michael took a bullet to the brain, both Jason and Elizabeth had decided to marry and be a family. It was Jason who then retreated after what happened to Michael proved that his life was too dangerous for children. So when Jason asked a grieving Elizabeth to donate Jake’s kidney to Josslyn, I had no problem with her throwing his choices back in his face. I would have added a dig about always picking Carly (Laura Wright) too. I do recognize that Liz made choices as well that kept them apart, but  I have always felt that if Jason wanted to be a father to his son, he would have fought for it.

I found Elizabeth’s reaction to Jason’s request to be completely authentic. She is a mother who is grieving and not ready to let her son go. She’s also a nurse, but when your heart is trying to process the unthinkable, your knowledge goes right out the window. Elizabeth was reeling from the loss of her son, she wasn’t thinking rationally, she was responding emotionally.

Regan Reax: Jake's Hit And Run, Day Two

What another spectacular day for these actors. Once again, Steve Burton (Jason) and Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) led the charge. I wanted to desperately reach through my television screen and hand Lucky a tissue. I loved the scene with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and her brother Steven (Scott Reeves), where she thanked him for bargaining with God. Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Robin (Kimberly McCullough) explaining to Liz and Lucky what occurred during surgery and Patrick asking about organ donation through his tears for his friends was so REAL and RAW.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Jason being the one to tell Lucky about Jake not making it through the surgery. I must say, I actually liked it. Lucky telling Elizabeth broke my heart, but I would have preferred for Jason to be the one to tell her. I still can’t overlook that all of this has happened, yet Elizabeth and Jason have yet to share a scene together. It seems a little ridiculous to me and it has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with my Liason love. I will readily admit when any of my rants have to do with my Liason love.

Regan Reax: Jake's Hit And Run, Day One

If you caught me on Twitter after I finished up GH, you saw I promised to save my reaction for the blog. So here it is, Jake’s Hit and Run, Day One, what I liked, loved and would have done differently.

I readily admit that my thumb was on the fast forward button during certain scenes. Sorry Brenda (Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo) and Sonny (Maurice Benard), your honeymoon plans and stupid giggles mean nothing to me. A baby is about to be run down and I wasn’t one of those people who gushed over your nuptials. I also could care less about your baby, Brenda. I did catch the snippet that Suzanne stashed the kid away with a family she met through ASEC; snooze, yawn. Brenda’s child does not interest me if it’s only a means to VMG's probable exit.

Now that I got the crap out of the way, let’s break it down. Steve Burton, Jonathan Jackson, Rebecca Herbst, Laura Wright, Ingo Rademacher, Tony Geary and yes, Chad Duell, great job! Actors do their THING with their eyes and faces. Anyone can spit out some lines. Bow down to Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and those eyes. Jonathan Jackson (Lucky) is starting to give Mr. Burton a serious run for his money. Becky Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) shows true heartbreak like no other. Laura Wright (Carly Jacks) and Ingo Rademacher ‘s (Jax) scenes with Josslyn were fantastic and natural. Tony Geary (Luke Spencer) was fantastic and I would be remiss if I left out Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos III). Mr. Duell is definitely paying attention when playing with the big boys and learning.
