Brad Paisley Hits The Talk Show Circuit to Defend "Accidental Racist" (VIDEO)
By Jamey Giddens on April 09, 2013
Country crooner Brad Paisley is catching a lot of flack for one particular song on his latest CD, Wheelhouse. In "Accidental Racist", Paisley and duet partner LL Cool J tackle racial tensions between a white Southerner and a black man from the North. Didn't In The Heat of the Night (the movie and TV show) already take care of this subject?
Here's a snippet of the song's lyrics:
I’m just a white man comin’ to you from the south land tryin’ to understand what it’s like not to be.
I’m proud of where I’m from but not everything we’ve done. It ain’t like you and me can rewrite history.
Our generation didn’t start this nation. We’re still pickin’ up the pieces, walkin’ on eggshells, fightin’ over yesterday.
Caught between southern pride and southern blame.
Paisley has taken to the daytime talk show circuit to explain the track, which has everyone debating heatedly. Personally, I think this is exactly what the late Dr. Martin Luther King foretold. We've finally reached the day when all of God's children, black men and white men, can team up to make a really awful song. Watch Paisley's appearances on Ellen and Good Morning America after the jump!

Former 'Real Housewives' Star Jill Zarin Becomes Good Afternoon America Correspondent
By Jillian Bowe on July 05, 2012
Like Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Jill Zarin has returned.. To television that is. The ousted Real Housewives of New York star announced on her blog she has landed special correspondent position with Good Afternoon America. Zarin wrote:
I want to share some great news."Hollywood called" again. Well not exactly...it was a producer from GMA. I was asked to be a special correspondent on a new afternoon show on ABC called Good AFTERNOON America, that will air live from Times Square daily. It is the afternoon version of Good Morning America (GMA) and will be co-hosted by Lara Spencer and Josh Elliott. I am doing a weekly reality show segment on Wednesdays at 2pm...giving my opinion on reality shows. My first show will air July 11th and covers shows like America's Got Talent, The Bachelorette and maybe a housewife show?? It is part time and yet still gives me an opportunity to talk to all of you every week and keep it real. I love that I am "LIVE"...you never know what I will come up with right?
Please enjoy the rest of your holiday and see you next week! READ MORE

By Luke Kerr on May 21, 2012

ABC’s trial run of Good Afternoon America is set to debut on July 9, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Reportedly, Josh Elliot and Lara Spencer will anchor the afternoon hour of Good Morning America, filling the slot currently occupied by the axed The Revolution.
"It's tremendous that GMA has this opportunity to extend its reach, and bring something new to the afternoons,” said Elliott, who joined the ABC program as news anchor in May 2011 after several years on ESPN's SportsCenter. “It is gratifying to play a role in it and genuinely hope our audience will come along for the ride."
