Kyle Lowder Debuts on Steamy Webisoap DeVanity Tonight!

Tonight's the night, webisoap watchers! Daytime grad Kyle Lowder (ex-Brady, Days of Our Lives; ex-Rick, The Bold and the Beautiful) makes his debut on the outrageously entertaining SFN webisoap DeVanity

Lowder will be playing the role of Andrew Regis, a spoiled, mega-rich schemer, hellbent on seizing control of the struggling DeVanity jewelry dynasty from Jason DeVanity (series creator Michael Caruso). Anyone who recalls Lowder's camptastic villainy as Rick Forrester opposite Ron Moss' Ridge on The Bold and the Beautiful knows this is a role he was born to play. B&B's Kyle Lowder Joins DeVanity's Second Season

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Kyle Lowder has a new side gig to keep him busy. Lowder will be appearing in the second season of the web soap DeVanity, for a three-episode arc as a villain. In a press release for the series, creator Michael Caruso reveals it will be a bit of a reunion.

“Kyle and I actually went to college together along with Mike Dirksen (Alex Roth) and Erin Buckley (Jackie DeVanity), so it feels like a reunion of old friends more than anything else. Kyle Lowder OUT at Bold and the Beautiful!

Kyle Lowder has been let go from The Bold and The Beautiful, according to Soap Opera Digest. Lowder portrayed Rick Forrester on the sudser for four years, and his last airdate has not been announced. Here's what Lowder had to say about his separation from B&B:

Brad [Bell, executive producer/head writer] called this morning and said he felt terrible that they haven't been able to generate enough story for the character," reveals the actor. "He felt it was in everybody's best interest that we go in different directions. From my standpoint, it's an amicable situation. Obviously, it's their choice, but at the same time, the story has been slow for over a year-and-a-half and like any professional in any line of work would do, you prepare yourself for the next step. So, it wasn't a surprise that it was going to happen, but it was handled in the most respectful way and I have huge respect for Brad. I had a great four years there and I thank him for the opportunity. And now, onto the next thing.

B&B Catch Up: Hope In Peril; Nick Goes Columbo; Taylor Gets Fresh

After fantasizing about being ravished by Ridge, Taylor decided it was time to move on. She told Ridge to stop calling her “Doc” because it got her all horny. Stephanie didn’t help by telling her not give up on Ridge. On a roll, Stephanie cornered Whip and let him know that Taylor and Ridge would always have feelings for each other. The meddling old bat then paid a visit to Ridge to say that Taylor might soon drop her drawers for the Whipster. The crazy lady is obsessed. Undeterred, Whip presented Taylor with a specially commissioned frock from doctor-turned-designer Bridget. For some reason, he did this in Stephanie’s office, where he’d also set out a meal for the two of them. Weird. READ MORE

B&B Catch Up: Togas, Internet Dating And A Surrogate With Issues

Was this Sarah Brown's face when she caught up with old B&B episodes and realized she'd signed a two-year contract? In case you too need a catch up, here's what's been going down in LA.

Desperate to get her freak on, now that the oh-so-irresistible Ridge is married, Taylor turned to internet dating. With a little encouragement from her daughter, Taylor hooked up with a “90 percent match” at LA’s only coffee joint, Insomnia. Alas, it was none other than Carl Ferret, the lab technician who discovered Brooke’s eggs had mistakenly been implanted in Taylor. Oh dear. She walked out on the Ferret and went home to lick her wounds, aided by Thomas and Steffy, her supportive/annoying kids. READ MORE
