Kristoff St. John
On Air On Soaps' Michael Fairman caught up with some of The Young and the Restless' stars, including Kristoff St. John, Daniel Goddard, Sharon Case and Adrienne Franz, at the recent World Magic Awards, where they spoke out on co-star Eric Braeden's contract issues.
KRISTOFF: I think that no comment is the best policy to take when other actors are going through contract talks. I don’t believe Eric Braeden will leave the canvas as the character of Victor Newman, but if he does, it would be sad to see him go at such a critical time in the show’s history. We have a guaranteed two years left on network television. I think in order to survive and to get another contract and licensing agreement out of CBS, the wise decision would be to get him back. Is it the wisest decision for Eric to accept the terms of the contract? I don’t know, and I cannot comment on that. It would be a huge loss to the show and the audience worldwide. READ MORE
You have to hand it to the good people over at The Young and the Restless, they sure do know how to spoof themselves. Take a gander at some of the Y&R cast members talking about the rise and fall of their scene stealer, Mr. Kitty.
The Young and the Restless' Kristoff St. John is on the fall cover of Real Health Magazine. Inside he talks with Michael Fairman about having close family and friends who live with diabetes.
Beyond living with the impact diabetes had on his immediate family, St. John also watched his friend, actor Dorian Gregory (former cohost of The Other Half), spend years living with the disease.
Gregory was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 9. He later met St. John on the audition circuit, and the two became fast friends. Once St. John learned of his friend’s condition, the two discussed Allana’s diabetes. “When I had my first real conversation with him, I found out his wife had diabetes and that was a ‘wow’ moment,” Gregory says. “I saw how supportive and how a part of it he was. He cared so much, so of course, I wanted to know him.”

The Young and the Restless star Kristoff St. John (Neil) and his precious 6-year-old daughter Lola visited Buzz Worthy Radio where St. John got real about the state of the Winters family and other Y&R issues. According to St. John, the lack of good storytelling for the Winters on Y&R isn't so much about what we see on our screens, but what is happening behind the scenes.
"There are no black writers. There are no black producers or directors."
PREACH! It is a sin and a shame that a soap opera that owes so much of its popularity to its black audience doesn't have any black people working behind the scenes. We can get a brother and sistah in the White House, but we can't get one on the Y&R staff?
St. John also admitted he enjoyed Lynn Marie Latham's tenure at the soap because the Winters clan were better utilized (This portion translated by the awesome Roger Newcomb at We Love Soaps.) READ MORE
