Whodunit mysteries almost always pull in viewers to soaps. This week Days of Our Lives kicks off a “Who Shot Stefano DiMera?” arc. Anyone who has lived in Salem for any length of time pretty much has a motive, but DAYS has been laying the groundwork by giving Abe (James Reynolds), Bo (Peter Reckell), Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Rafe (Galen Gering), EJ (James Scott), Kate (Lauren Koslow), John (Drake Hogestyn), Marlena (Deidra Hall) and Will (Chandler Massey) each a reason to take aim at The Phoenix.

Kristian Alfonso Signs New Pact With Days of Our Lives!


 
Put this in the "smart decision" column for Days Of Our Lives. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kristian Alfonso (Hope) is sticking around Salem. The trade paper reports Alfonso has re-upped with the sudser. Alfonso stated:

Lisa Rinna on a Returning Billie's Love Life on DAYS: "The Relationship With Bo is Mostly Going to Stay Platonic"

This news should help Bope fans breathe a cautious sigh of relief. A soon-to-be returning Lisa Rinna, tells Soaps In Depth her character Billie Reed's relationship with ex-hubby Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) will be a platonic one this time around, well "mostly."

"The relationship with Bo is mostly going to stay platonic," she reveals. "And I think that's a good choice. "

DAYS Stars Shine at NBCUniversal Press Tour All-Star Party

Days of our Lives stars Kristian Alfonso (pictured above), Alison Sweeney, Galen Gering and Lisa Rinna appeared at the NBCUniversal Press Tour All-Star party on January 6, in Pasadena, California.  The event also featured soap alums Tia Carrere, Mark Valley and Matt Bomer. Carrere will appear in the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice. Valley stars in NBC’s legal drama Harry’s Law opposite of Kathy Bates, while Bomer leads USA’s White Collar. See more photos from the event after the jump!

Kristian Alfonso and Crystal Chappell Address The Elephant on Twitter




Who needs SOAPnet when Twitter is forever airing soap operas that are often better than what we're seeing on our screens? I know, I've starred in a few myself, unfortunately. Two stars of a recent Twitter-novela, Kristian Alfonso and Crystal Chappell took to Soap Opera Digest to address rumblings about Alfonso being responsible for her onscreen rival's ouster from Days our Our Lives.

Chappell, who is nominated for a Daytime Emmy this weekend for her popular webisoap Venice, basically said people needed to stop being all up in her business!

 "I have no bad feelings toward Kristian or anybody," she declares. "I didn't come to the defense of my colleague on Twitter, but I actually did. It's nobody else's business really how I do something."   READ MORE

Stars Autograph Copies of Days Of Our Lives' Anniversary Book

Days of our Lives' James Scott, Crystal Chappell, Kristian Alfonso and Galen Gering signed copies of Days Of Our Lives 45 Years: A Celebration in Photos and A Secret in Salem at the NBC Experience Store in New York City on February 25. Greg Meng and Eddie Campbell, the authors of Days of our Lives 45 Years: A Celebration in Photos, were also on hand to sign copies of their book.
