Kristian Alfonso and Crystal Chappell Address The Elephant on Twitter
By Jamey Giddens on June 17, 2011
Who needs SOAPnet when Twitter is forever airing soap operas that are often better than what we're seeing on our screens? I know, I've starred in a few myself, unfortunately. Two stars of a recent Twitter-novela, Kristian Alfonso and Crystal Chappell took to Soap Opera Digest to address rumblings about Alfonso being responsible for her onscreen rival's ouster from Days our Our Lives.
Chappell, who is nominated for a Daytime Emmy this weekend for her popular webisoap Venice, basically said people needed to stop being all up in her business!
"I have no bad feelings toward Kristian or anybody," she declares. "I didn't come to the defense of my colleague on Twitter, but I actually did. It's nobody else's business really how I do something." READ MORE

Not Even Ernesto Could Permanently Keep DAYS' Bo and Hope Apart!
By Brian Peel on January 09, 2011
Greetings from the Land Down Under! With Bo and Hope (Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso) currently facing their 5 millionth obstacle, I thought I would post this nostalgic, tragic, but classic Days of Our Lives clip that reinforces their romantic history. I remember when this scene aired many moons ago, and I can assure you that there was not one dry eye in the house.
I'm sure those long time fans who have put up, shut up and soaked up the drama from these two over the years will remember this one well. It's a shame that the show forgot the past when they played out her characters return to the show many years later. As it seemed, Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) was to blame for everyone's disappearances in Salem, but all know it was Ernesto Toscano.
I think DAYS is missing a good, old-fashioned tragic storyline like this. Don't you think it's time they send some people away and torture them for a few months? Who cares who's responsible, we all know Stefano will cop the blame for it later! READ MORE

DAYS' Reckell on Bo Learning Fancy Butt's Gone Fool in The Head: "It's Like Being Run Over by a Jet Plane"
By Jamey Giddens on August 07, 2010
Fancast's Sara Bibel caught up with Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso at the recent Television Critics Association (TCA) party in Los Angeles for her Deep Soap blog. Check out what Reckell had to say about his alter ego, Bo learning Hope (Alfonso) went so bat shit crazy, hyped up on generic grade Ambien, that she almost killed him:
How does it impact Bo to learn that the love of his life is capable of this?
Reckell: It’s like being run over by a jet plane because it’s a lot of information that I didn’t have and didn’t know about. [Hope was] seeing the anger that she hasn’t even realized yet through the videotape. I was faced with the emotions that came from our split up. The sorrow’s been huge. READ MORE
