Does Salem no longer need the ISA? Maybe so. Online reports are saying that Galen Gering's new character will be an FBI Agent, who comes to Salem on a special case. Hmm, I wonder if this will involve Sami (Alison Sweeney), the Salemite he's reported to share scenes with. When will we see the ex-Passions hunk on our screens? Sources say late October. Is it possible for a soap to have too much eye candy?? Nah! Crank up that sauna Days...
What of Galen's ex-Passions costar, Eric Martsolf (ex-Ethan Winthrop)? As a recast Brady Black, he's returning to Salem around mid-November to deal with ex-wife Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin), because divorcing her wasn't enough it seems. The caricature, I mean character, is set to head for Chicago. No offense to Renton, but this longterm Days fan couldn't be happier. A soap in rebuilding phase does not have precious airtime to waste on disconnected characters with no real purpose on the canvas. Maybe now the show can write for young adult characters that actually are connected to core families and that we actually like, such as Horton great-grandson Nick Fallon (the much too good for this Blake Berris).

With a tagline of 'an all-American summer of romance' it looks as though we might be in for some Stax luv (Max and Stephanie), a storyline involving newly paired Lucas and Chloe (Chucas? Chlocas?), a budding romance between Philip and Morgan, and some fun for long-time fan favorites Bo and Hope. Nicole, EJ and Sami feature in the promo also, and maybe with Lucas' attention directed elsewhere, this will be the summer's love triangle.
