Dr. Patrick Drake as Mr. Mom… When Robin heads out of Port Chuck for treatment, Patrick takes on the role as single father. Who will pitch in to help him? RUMORS say Maxie and Matt MAY be providing assistance. While I love that Matt and Maxie MAY have some more scenes together, especially ones that have them helping out the fam, Maxie is spread all over the place and I think this would be the perfect opportunity to use Mac (John J. York) more. Let Uncle Mac help out, he did raise three girls. Throw a little comic relief into this PPD storyline cause I need something to chuckle at that isn’t the ridiculousness of this story. We SHOULD see some brotherly time but SPOILERS have Matt making some roots of his own in PC. Finally! Give Jason Cook something to do! We SHOULD still see Elizabeth helping out, maybe not as much, and mentions of Mercedes. READ MORE

Will General Hospital Be Near the End of the Pack Ratings-Wise Again This Week?

ABC Daytime crown jewel General Hospital is starting to look a little more like Cubic Zirconia these days. Early ratings reports for Monday didn't look good for the soap. Insiders are predicting GH could once again be the least watched ABC soap in total households for the week, which doesn't make the network's top brass very happy.
"More money is spent to produce and promote General Hospital than the other two soap operas combined, yet AMC and OLTL are starting to consistently beat GH is the ratings," says a source. "People are paying attention."
Reportedly, ABC's long-time stepchild One Life to Live is the most "cost-effective" soap opera on ABC's daytime lineup, and currently the only Mouse House sudser operating under budget. Wow,and to think they've managed this without benefit of CGI!
"One Life to Live operating so effeciently it makes up for All My Children's overages," the source continues. "No one knows what the heck is going on with GH. For the amount of money the network shells out on this show, the numbers aren't good." READ MORE

Who finds out next about Claudia’s involvement in Michael’s shooting? Ric? Jax? Both? RUMORS say Ric will find out but it MAY not stop with Sonny’s brother. Remember I mentioned way back when that Jax MAY be learning the truth and keeping it to himself? Would that cause trouble for the reunited CarJax? Just yesterday we talked about them being OK but I also mentioned that when Sonny is involved, Carly usually gets sucked back into the vortex. IF and when Jax finds out about Claudia ordering the hit that sent Michael into coma-land, would he tell Carly or keep it to himself? That earlier mentioned vortex MAY have Jax stopping himself as he’s afraid that telling Carly what he knows will send her straight to Sonny and into his life. Who tells Jax? What If Molly Burnett Actually Received An Emmy Nomination, And Won?

Every year at Emmy pre-nomination and nomination time we the fans pore over the official list of pre-nominees and nominees and then debate who we believe deserved their nomination, who was robbed and who shouldn't be on the list. Then comes the discussions of whether or not alleged block voting will have an impact on who wins or if this is all just one big old popularity contest.
At this point I'm just coming out of the "they were robbed" stage. I do not know what Melody Thomas Scott and Trevor St. John are going to have to do, but apparently it is easier to do the work of one's career than to get an Emmy pre-nomination. Meanwhile Molly Burnett, hair model extraordinaire, received an Outstanding Younger Actress pre-nomination for her portrayal of the widely reviled Melanie Layton. READ MORE
Should Maxie Fall For Johnny, or Keep Her Heart Smart for Spinelli on GH?

What's that they say, if you can't beat 'em, poll 'em? You guys know how I feel about practically all of my favorite General Hospital pairings (Liason, Spixie, Skate, Nikolas and Nadine) being torn asunder for reasons that are based more on corporation than characterization, however, I must admit one of the new potential equations could work for me, and that's Johnny and Maxie. (Has the squish name factory given them a joint moniker yet?)
Don't stone me fellow Spixie fans, but Brandon Barash and Kirsten Storms were kinda hot together during all the Go Red dress drama, plus their connection annoys the heck out of the increasingly grating Snarly 2.0 aka Lulu (Julie Marie Berman), which is an added bonus. Now I definitely still want the Maxinista and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to find their way to soapily-ever-after— complete with a prerequisite presumed death, switched baby storyline and three, splashy Sweeps week weddings set to John Mayer songs— but this is a soap, and there has to be conflict, and something tells me Maxie likes her conflict like she likes her pizza, hot, Italian and heavy on the pepperoni.
What do you think, should Maxie give Johnny a spin, or should she finally realize that all she really wants is to be Jackaled, over and over and over again?
