I guess sometimes you really can't go home again, especially if your show moves across country! Soap Opera Digest is reporting New York-based stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos won't be able to reprise the popular roles of Hayley and Mateo Santos for All My Children's network TV send off because of scheduling woes. Bummer!
The celeb reaction to the All My Children/One Life to Live cancellation news continues. Former All My Children actress and current co-host of Live With Regis and Kelly, Kelly Ripa issued the following statement on the demise of her former daytime stomping ground:
"This is like losing a member of your family. All My Children" was more than a job -- it was my family. It was there that I met my husband; it was there when my first two children were born; it was there where I met many of my life-long friends. It was the greatest training ground ever. I feel heartsick."

It looks like Kelly Ripa and Regis Philbin will be working together after he leaves Live With Regis and Kelly later this summer. According to Deadline, Ripa and hubby Mark Consuelos’ company Milojo is developing a TV special starring Philbin. Reportedly, "it is said to showcase Philbin's abilities as a storyteller."
Live With Regis and Kelly host and former All My Children star Kelly Ripa (pictured with hubby Mark Consuelos above) is the latest celebrity to receive a Madame Tussauds wax figure. Is Regis Philbin experiencing a little bit of remorse over his decision to not take a pay cut and leave Live With Regis and Kelly, later this year? According to Pop Eater, the offers for other work he anticipated haven’t been coming in as expected.
"He's 79, and everyone knows TV is a young person's game. What was he thinking? I'm sure he looked at how the public has welcomed back Kathie Lee [Gifford, his old co-star] on 'Today' and assumed they would do the same for him. But as of now, he hasn't had any great offers."
