The Perky One just can't catch a break in regards to her post-Today career moves. Katie Couric struggled to bring in the ratings as anchor of the CBS Evening News, and now it looks like her costly, Disney-backed daytime talk show could soon be cancelled. From The Hollywood Reporter:
One of the TV's priciest daytime experiments soon could be coming to an end. Stations throughout the U.S. are contracted to carry Katie Couric's syndicated talk show through summer 2014, but the decision on whether Katie will score a third season likely will be made this month -- and renewal seems a long shot.

Couric flopped as anchor of CBS Evening News, her expensive daytime talk show could soon be cancelled—while The Talk is nipping at The View's stilettos in the ratings—and Disney-ABC thinks Couric would be a good fit for The View? It doesn't make sense, but I'm sure it will cost more than a few dollars. READ MORE
To kick off the sophomore season of Katie, the talk show host chatted with rapper Lil Wayne about his recent health scare. The rap superstar discussed his seizures with Couric, who asked him if his addiction to drinking "sizzurp" (cough syrup containing codeine, a soft drink and a piece of Jolly Rancher) was the reason for his health problems earlier this year.
