Days of Our Knives will serve as a daytime counterpart to ID's upcoming primetime series Deadly Affairs, hosted by the biggest daytime soap star of them all, Susan Lucci. Watch the Days of Our Knives promo after the jump!

"After the cancellation of All My Children and One Life to Live we saw an opening in the marketplace for some of our most popular series," says ID president and general manager Henry Schleiff. "Our tagline at ID is 'Your Guilty Pleasure' and that's a perfect fit for soap viewers, too. Our show titles even sound like they come from soaps — Happily Never After, Dates From Hell, Deadly Women, Wicked Attraction, Who the Bleep Did I Marry?"
Okay, this Schleiff fellow seems like my kinda TV exec! ID will be using their new soap-themed block to promote the upcoming series Deadly Affairs, hosted by La Lucci herself. The series premieres Sept. 8 at 10/9c. Check out ID's full lineup of upcoming programming hosted by soap stars after the jump!

BEST - Kristian Alfonso: The Days of Our Lives leading lady was simply stunning in her canary-yellow evening gown. The dress fit Alfonso perfectly, and her jewelry didn’t overpower her dress.

Cast members from Days of Our Lives let loose at two different events recently. Kristian Alfonso, Kate Mansi (pictured above), Peter Reckell, Lauren Boles, Suzanne Rogers and Casey Deidrick took to the dance floor at The Brady Soiree on May 31, at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, CA. The stars mingled with fans, which helped raise funds for The St. Bernard Project.
Meanwhile, Patrick Muldoon, Shawn Christian (pictured above,) Galen Gering, Eric Martsolf, Matthew Ashford and Judi Evans appeared at Karaoke With The Stars on June 2, at Dimples in Burbank. Several Salemites belted out tunes at the event. If you missed out on the fun, you can get a DVD copy by donating to Soldiers’ Angels.
