Former All My Children star, Dancing With the Stars competitor and Iraq war veteran J.R. Martinez will appear on Thursday’s episode of Dr. Oz. During the episode, Martinez shares how his mother gave him a verbal boot in the behind, in an attempt to get him to get out of his depression post injuries.

Dancing With the Stars winner JR Martinez is the proud father of a little girl Lauryn Anabelle Martinez. According to People, the All My Children alum's girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones gave birth on May 2, in Los Angeles.

“She’s already got a nickname — Belle,” Martinez, 28, tells PEOPLE of his newborn baby girl, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. and is 21 inches long.
 

The All My Children cast and crew appear to be staying close knit post-cancellation. People is reporting former showrunner Julie Hanan Carruthers hosted a pink-themed baby shower for JR Martinez (ex-Brot) and his pregnant lady love Diana Gonzalez-Jones.

We found out just last week it's a girl and we are over the moon . Diana has a little baby bump now and it's the cutest thing ever. With the holidays coming up, this is the biggest and best gift we could get.
 

This will be the first child for both Martinez and Gonzales-Jones.

Dancing With the Stars winner and former All My Children star JR Martinez has earned widespread recognition, but now he’s helping shine a light on every day heroes.  Parade magazine caught up with Martinez and talked with him about being a presenter at the American Giving Awards (AGAs) on December 10.  The award show, recognizing local heroes, airs on NBC at 8 PM EST.
