It looks like The View’s Joy Behar will have a little more time on her hands, in the evenings, after the end of the year. According to Deadline, Behar will leave HLN and The Joy Behar Show at the end of the year, when her contract is up.

Fasten your seatbelts for a bumpy showdown! Bill Maher paid a visit to the ladies of The View. Co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is still smarting from a joke the Real Time host made in Feb. At the time Maher cracked Hasselbeck should be sent to Egypt, in exchange for CBS correspondent Lara Logan, who also was sexually assaulted during the Egyptian revolution. Maher made the joke before CBS released a statement, informing the world about Logan's assault.

Hasselbeck let it be known she did not find his joke funny, while Maher tried to explain he wasn't trying to personally attack her. Watch the fireworks between the two after the jump! READ MORE

The ladies of The View have grilled politicians on their couch, argued the latest hot topics at their table and now they want to host a Republican presidential debate. According to The Huffington Post, “A spokesman for "The View" confirmed that requests have been sent to Republican campaigns but declined to speak further about any interest so far.”

Just how would a Republican debate on The View work? Would Barbara Walters be the moderator? Would Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd participate? If they did, candidates would surely prepare themselves for hostile questioning from Goldberg and Behar. Hasselbeck, The View’s conservative voice on the panel, would probably feel at home at such a debate, but who would have guessed the one-time Survivor competitor might one day be involved in a Republican presidential debate? Do you believe Republican candidates will agree to debate on The View?

Paris vs. Babs. The New York Post is reporting Paris Hilton wasn't thrilled by the questions she received this past Wednesday on The View. The celebutante appeared on the talk show to promote her new "reality" series, The World According to Paris. According to the paper, Hilton was not amused when Barbara Walters  had her up against the ropes about the sincerity of Hilton's philanthropic endeavors. Hilton was also reportedly miffed that Walters took offense to Hilton griping about having to do court-appointed community service, stemming from her 2010 drug arrest.

According to the paper, Hilton and her father ripped into a View producer off-camera following the segment. While the Hiltons' rep declined to comment, a rep for The View admitted the incident took place. Check out what allegedly got Paris and Pops hot at the 2.04 minute mark below!

Star Jones reunited with former The View co-host Joy Behar on Behar’s HLN show The Joy Behar Show Monday, April 4. During the visit, Jones promoted her new book Satan’s Sisters and the pair rehashed her exit from The View. When asked about happy moments on The View, Jones responded that “The first eight years were all happy,” but revealed that during the final year “It was miserable.”

Jones also pointed out that “Since the day I walked out of the show, you didn’t call, you didn’t write. They cracked my chest, you didn’t send a flower…” To which Behar responded, “I didn’t know that until today. I don’t where, I don’t know why I did not. I swear to you. You believe me? I do not lie. You know I do not lie." Jones agreed "No you don't."
