Rebecca Budig on Leo And Greenlee: "In The End, I Wanted Them to go Off Together"

If you were one of the All My Children fans disappointed Leo (Josh Duhamel) and Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) didn’t ride off into the sunset together, you are not alone. In an interview with TV Guide, Budig reveals she too hoped the popular couple would end up together.

"In the end, I wanted them to go off together," Budig continued. "The audience doesn't know what's going to happen to them, we just see them going away." Instead, of course, Greenlee woke up to find Zach (Thorsten Kaye), still alive after going down in a plane crash several months ago.

"It was a little bizarre. I was thrilled to work with Josh again, but it was sort of a tease, too," she said.

Rebecca Budig Gives A Taste Of Josh Duhamel's AMC Return

Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited 'cause we understood

Peaches and Herb- "Reunited."

TVLine's Megan Masters got the 411 from All My Children's Rebecca Budig on Josh Duhamel slipping right back into the saddle at his old stomping grounds.

TVLINE | How was it jumping back into shooting scenes with him after nearly 10 years? Was it like riding a bike? Or were there some initial jitters?

Oh gosh, we were both nervous. We didn’t know if we’d still have chemistry — I mean, I thought we would, but we had to pick off where we left off, only not really because his character had been “dead.” We wanted to recapture instantly what it was that we’d had before, and the minute we started rehearsing lines in the dressing room it was like, forget it! [Laughs] The floodgates opened for me and it was as if no time had passed. READ MORE

One Half Missing: Which Soap Couple Would You Like to See Reunited?

Next week one of my all-time favorite soap couples–All My Children’s Leo (Josh Duhamel) and Greenlee (Rebecca Budig)–will reunite in scenes on August 4.  Even though Duhamel's return to his soapy stomping grounds is only a cameo, it is much appreciated.  Reminiscing about Leo and Greenlee’s time together made me wonder, which former soap star, and their character, do you most wish would return to your favorite soap to be reunited with their great love, who is still onscreen?   Share your most wished for reunions in the comments! Watch Soapy Trailer For New Year's Eve Starring Josh Duhamel and Basically Everyone Else in Hollyweird

Warner Bros. has released a splashy trailer for Gary Marshall's upcoming star-crammed flick New Year's Eve. A companion to Marshall's 2010 rom-com Valentine's Day,  New Year's Eve stars practically everyone in Hollyweird.

Robert De Niro, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ashton Kutcher, Hillary Swank, Abigail Breslin, Katherine Heigl, Jessica Biel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lea Michele, Sofia Vergara  and Josh Duhamel all appear in the big screen tale of what happens to a group of seemingly unconnected New Yorkers on the other most romantic night of the year.

I of course will be first in line to see New Year's Eve when it premieres this December, because I live for gushy, soapy movies, but what about you guys? Will you help Marshall ring in his New Year's flick, or just stay at home and watch Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest? Watch the trailer after the jump, then sound off in the comments!
