One Life to Live alum Tika Sumpter is proving to be one of Hollywood's rising stars. Since leaving the ABC sudser, she's done impressive turns on primetime (Gossip Girl, The Game) and on the big screen (Think Like a Man). The beauty's latest project is a remake of the classic Sparkle.
Sparkle tells the story of three sisters, Sparkle (Jordin Sparks), Sister (Carmen Ejogo) and Delores (Sumpter), who rise to Supremes-esque fame, despite their mama's reservations. The movie marks the final onscreen performance of the late Whitney Houston, who appears as their disapproving mother, Emma.
