John Wesley Shipp Returns To One Life To Live
By Jillian Bowe on November 14, 2011
Big bad daddy Ford is back! According to Soap Opera Digest, John Wesley Shipp (Eddie) reprises his role on One Life To Live. The actor revealed on Facebook:
The ideas for this last week of OLTL on ABC truly approach brilliance. When I was told, roughly, what I would be asked to do, it was not what I had thought, and man was I psyched. I tripped on the idea for a week before I ever got the script lol. Kudos to Ron Calivati and his staff, to Exec Producer Frank Valentini whose praises I continue to sing and a technical crew that not only functions with the proficiency that comes from doing this a lot of years, but every time you give, they give back, and you feel it.
No exact date is given for Shipp's episode, his airdate is slated before OLTL leaves ABC's airwaves.
John Wesley Shipp on One Life to Live's Eddie: "He'll Stick The Knife In Your Back"
By Jillian Bowe on November 17, 2010
"I've played all sorts of villains, now there's Eddie. He's a blue-collar guy, came from a conservative background. He headed a family where the wife was supposed to work in the home and wasn't to illicit the attention of other men. Eddie's willing to play the clown, has charm, and when you pause to shake your head, he'll stick the knife in your back. When he loses control, Eddie resorts to violence."
