John Stamos’ career continues to explode this year. The General Hospital alum has landed a huge recurring role on USA Network's Necessary Roughness. Per Deadline, Stamos will appear in all 10 episodes of the show’s upcoming third season.
Stamos will play, Connor McClane, founder of a huge global entertainment and sports management conglomerate. McClane is determined to get Dr. Dani (Callie Thorne) to join his company after the success she’s had with the New York Hawks and their star player TK (Mehcad Brooks).
Will Blackie Parrish (John Stamos) and Dr. Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) be paying visits to the fictional town of Port Charles, New York? Returning General Hospital star Kin Shriner believes they will. In a new interview with TV Guide's Michael Logan, Shriner shares who, other than bad boy Scotty Baldwin, he thinks will come back for the sudser's 50th Anniversary. Said Shriner:
I'm sure Stamos will come back because he knows GH started his career. And, of course, Ricky Dean Anderson. We need to get MacGyver back in the mix! We're like an old family from the '80s and I think we'll always feel that way. I'd love to work with Stamos again. As Blackie, he was Paul Drake to my Perry Mason, my footman, my go-to guy. "Go find this out, Blackie!"
The New Normal guest star John Stamos recently visited the set of General Hospital and tweeted Instagram photos of himself with Kin Shriner (Scott). The former Blackie Parrish also tweeted a photo of himself with Genie Francis. About Shriner he wrote,
visiting my buddy kin shriner (scotty baldwin) at my old stomping grounds -GH.
Former All My Children star Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo) and General Hospital alum John Stamos (ex-Blackie) are set to guest on NBC’s The New Normal, according to EW.com. Reportedly, they will appear in an episode titled “Gaydar.”
Consuelos will play a grip on Sing, the Glee-esque show created by Andrew Rannells’ Bryan, whom Rocky (Nene Leakes) develops a crush on. Meanwhile, Stamos will play a coworker of Ellen Barkin’s Jane whose sexuality is questioned by the conservative grandma.
Soap alums Michael Park (ex-Jack, ATWT) and John Stamos (ex-Blackie, GH) are just a few of the actors who participated in a new reading of SOAPDISH the Musical. According to BroadwayWorld.com, Stamos and Park read alongside Kristen Chenoweth, Jane Krakowski, Miriam Shor, Cristin Milioti, Anne L. Nathan, and Daniel Torres. Donald De Line, Laurence Mark and Broadway Across America presented the reading of the musical, based on the hit 1991 feature film set in the behind-the-scenes world of a daytime drama.
