Which actor do you think should win Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series at the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards?

The Young and the Restless dominated the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category with three Daytime Emmy nominations for Peter Bergman (Jack), Doug Davidson (Paul) and Michael Muhney (Adam). General Hospital’s Jason Thompson (Patrick) earned his soap's only Lead Actor nod.
Britch wins again… sort of. It looks like Patrick will be with Britt when she goes to end her pregnancy, but will the devilish doc actually go through with it? Will Patrick let her? The call to go to the clinic takes Patrick away from his date with Sabrina. With Sabrina and Felix determined to prove that baby isn’t Patrick’s, my money is on that abortion not happening. Also, overheard at the recent Paley Center event, Patrick’s portrayer Jason Thompson might just want that baby to be Patrick’s. Does Emma want a sibling? She stuns Felix when she brings up her soon-to-be brother or sister.
Ring, ring, ring … Johnny is calling Carly from the clink! Is this Days of Our Lives or General Hospital? Brandon Barash’s exit was announced so long ago, I forgot we never actually saw his exit. Will Carly accept the call? Connie is paying her ex-hubby–are they still married, I forget–a visit, and Johnny is eager to get a message to Carly. Will Connie pass it along?

Secrets abound in Port Charles, but what lines will Ellie (Emily Wilson), Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) and Felix (Marc Samuel) be willing to cross to get to the truth? Ellie digs into Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) baby secret, while Sabrina and Felix try to prove Britt (Kelly Thiebauld) isn’t pregnant with Patrick’s (Jason Thompson) baby. Watch the General Hospital promo after the jump!

In case you missed the initial batch of red-hot photos from General Hospital’s Paley Center celebration, we’ve dug up additional shots from the red carpet! Daytime Confidential’s Regan Cellura interviewed Teresa Castillo on her “dream role” and chatted with Marc Samuel about his “overwhelm-azing” time on GH.

Student nurse Sabrina Santiago barrelled into Port Charles General Hospital, a mess of hair, thick-rimmed glasses and nervous energy. However, at the recent Nurses Ball, this quirky duckling transformed into quite the magnificent swan, securing Dr. Patrick Drake's (Jason Thompson) heart in the process!
Being gorgeous both inside and out is a trait the new R.N. shares with her portrayer Teresa Castillo. I had the pleasure of chatting up the break-out star at the Paley Center's recent celebration of General Hospital's 50th Anniversary. Castillo shares how much she is enjoying her time in Port Chuck, the friendships she's developed, and dished on what she and best pal Felix (Marc Samuel) will be up to in their battle against Dr. Britch (Kelly Thiebaud).
Daytime Confidential: This all has to be pretty exciting for you?
Teresa Castillo: I feel like I’m dreaming right now.
DC: General Hospital’s 50th Anniversary, all of this and this is your first role on a soap opera, right?
TC: It is, it is! I had seen soaps before, but I had no idea what I was getting into with the shooting schedule. It’s challenging, a little bit, to get the hang of it, the flow of it all, but I feel like I finally settled in.
DC: Well you’re not just settled in, you’re in a great love triangle! Pretty great for your first soap role?
TC: I’m having a blast; I really am.
DC: It’s wonderful when you love what you’re doing. It shows on screen with you.
TC: Thank you, you couldn’t ask for anything more, right? To be able to do what you love for a living and have other people enjoy it as well. It’s just so fulfilling and I’m so thankful. READ MORE
