Jack Wagner is once again delving back into the primetime waters, but this time with a comedic twist. The Bold and the Beautiful and Melrose Place actor will make a guest apperance on TV Land's red-hot comedy Hot In Cleveland tonight at 10 PM EST. We caught up with Wagner, who gave  us the scoop on his character Dr. Jake.

Daytime Confidential: How did the role on Hot in Cleveland come about?

Jack Wagner: I literally just went in and met with the casting directors who were old Melrose Place fans, and they asked me to read the scenes and then I was working 4 days later.

DC: Will this be a recurring role or just one episode?

JW: Just one episode.

DC:  Dr. Jake isn't the first sexy medic you've played on TV. Will he be anything like Dr. Peter Burns from Melrose Place?

JW: No nothing like Dr. Burns. This guy seems to be honest and honorable.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Desperate Housewives star Kathryn Joosten will make a special appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful. According to the site, the actress will star as herself and interacts with Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Nick (Jack Wagner). Joosten, along with real-life lung cancer survivors and patients, will speak with Stephanie about their diagnosis and treatments. This episode will mark B&B's 6000th episode. Joosten's scene will air on Feb. 7.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s teen set took center stage at the beginning of last week. Sweet-yet-drippy Hope battled with supposed “vixen” Steffy for the affections of Oliver. Oh, how we yawned. Is Steffy starting to have real feelings for the DJ-turned-filmmaker? Or is she just out to make Hope’s life hell? It’s a mystery. As is the reason a school dance was held at Forrester Creations in the first place. Another mystery: why does that fool Marcus keep cheerleading for Steffy? She already admitted to hating the Logans, and would gladly have his mother thrown out of FC on her derriere. Yet still he stands around, all "aw, shucks, Steffy, you’re awesome."
