INTERVIEW: General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms on Maxie’s Two Dads and Two Lulus

The celebration of General Hospital’s first 50, glorious years gave me the opportunity to have a little chat with scene stealer Kirsten Storms (Maxie).  At the recent Paley Center event, Storms and I chatted about her exiting pal Julie Marie Berman (ex-Lulu), returning friend Kristen Alderson (formerly Starr; soon-to-be a new character) and Maxie’s two dads, Frisco (Jack Wagner) and Mac (John J. York).

Storms also reveals if she’s filmed with Emme Rylan, who recently started airing as Lulu, and shared some sage words Jane Elliot (Tracy) shared when Berman departed the role.

Daytime Confidential: I know you’re really good friends with Julie Marie Berman. Those final scenes the two of you had together were simply amazing.

Kirsten Storms:  It was so horrible.

DC: Now we have a new Lulu. Have you filmed with Emme Rylan yet?

KS: I have, yes, a lot over the last few days especially and she’s a great girl.  I know she came from a couple of soaps, so I had mad respect for her when she started. Jane Elliot said it perfectly when I was talking to her about Julie leaving, it’s not that I miss her as Lulu; it’s just painful that she won’t be there for me at work.  My work life is around hanging out with her for the most part, getting into trouble, doing those sorts of things with Julie.  READ MORE

Ashley Jones Returns as Bold and Beautiful's Bridget

Just as the Logan family is once again being torn asunder by one of Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) indiscretions, comes news of the femme fatale's most tragic victim returning on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ashley Jones revealed she's reprising the role of Bridget Forrester to our pals over at Zap2it!

Long-time B&B fans will remember Brooke was impregnated by Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), while he was married to her daughter Bridget (then Jennifer Finnigan). Once Jones took over the role, Bridget and her mother both bedded sailor-turned-mogul Nick Marone (Jack Wagner). Bridget's aunt Katie (Heather Tom) also swabbed Nick's deck — while he was still involved with her niece! READ MORE

General Hospital's Jack Wagner is "Forever Grateful" to Co-Star Rick Springfield

Why is Jack Wagner beholden to co-star Rick Springfield?  The General Hospital rock stars were playing a show together in Boca Raton, Florida, when Wagner met his long-lost daughter, Kerry.  A celebrity golf tournament has Jack going back to the sunshine state and the memories of that night have the avid golfer happy to do it.

The Palm Beach Post writes,

Wagner, one of the celebrities scheduled to appear at the ISC-Audubon EcoGolf Celebrity Charitable Tournament at Hollywood Beach’s Westin Diplomat on Saturday, has a notable Palm Beach County tie-in: In November 2011, backstage at a concert he played at Boca Raton’s Mizner Park Amphitheater with fellow “General Hospital” heartthrob rocker Rick Springfield, he met his long-lost daughter Kerry, who lives in Broward County.

“I’m forever grateful to Rick Springfield,” he says earnestly. READ MORE

Kristina Wagner Reveals How GH Girlfriends And 'The Good Wife' Got Her Through Jack Wagner's Return

General Hospital's Kristina Wagner has been open about initially being uneasy about reuniting onscreen with real and reel life ex-husband Jack Wagner. In the March 25 issue of Soap Opera Digest, the actress shared how good, on set galpals—and the CBS primetime soap The Good Wife—helped her get through Frisco and Felicia reconnecting in Port Charles. Said Wagner:

"I don't think it would have happened had it not been for the love and support I've gotten from fellow castmates, especially women," she declares. "I have learned through this whole life here in Hollywood and on General Hospital, how to ask for help. If you need help, ask for it! And you gotta make sure you ask the right people. And in my case, on the set, just with regards to stuff at General Hospital, I ask the women who are my age. These women who have come back have been very loving and supportive and I think they mean the best. So I'm feeling grateful for all of these women who talk to me when I need to talk about it, Lynn [Herring, Lucy] and Finola [Hughes, Anna], all of them. Anybody who is my age [laughs]. Nothing against the younger generation; I love them dearly!"
