Just why is country upstart Juliette Barnes so darn right nasty? She got it from her mama! Our pals at Zap2it caught up with Juliette's portrayer Hayden Panettiere, who revealed a little about what makes the Nashville vixen tick.
Said Panettiere:
"You have to respect her to a certain degree," Panettiere says, "even though she is a little b*** at some times. She is running from a very dark past."

ABC’s Nashville is one of the most anticipated new dramas of the 2012 season. Now you can watch the pilot before it premieres on Oct. 10. Nashville stars Friday Night Light’s Connie Britton, former Guiding Light and One Life to Live star Hayden Panettiere and General Hospital favorite Jonathan Jackson.
Britton’s Rayna Jaymes is the Queen of Country, but the label is worried her reign is coming to an end, so they're sending her on tour with upstart, crossover artist Juliette Barnes (Panettiere). From Port Charles to Nashville, former General Hospital star Jonathan Jackson has a new TV home this season. As with ABC’s decision to play up Kelly Monaco’s daytime connection in an spot for Dancing With the Stars, the network is promoting Jackson’s connection to GH.
It doesn’t hurt that the promo teases the potential chemistry between Jackson’s Avery and Hayden Panettiere’s (ex-Sarah, One Life to Live; ex-Lizzie, Guiding Light) Juliette Barnes. ABC has released a first look at their highly-anticipated country music soap Nashville. The freshman series revolves around Rayna (Connie Britton), a country superstar who starts to lose her luster, while younger singing sensation Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) is on the rise.
