The New Normal guest star John Stamos recently visited the set of General Hospital and tweeted Instagram photos of himself with Kin Shriner (Scott). The former Blackie Parrish also tweeted a photo of himself with Genie Francis. About Shriner he wrote,
visiting my buddy kin shriner (scotty baldwin) at my old stomping grounds -GH.
It’s the month General Hospital fans have been waiting for. This week Jack Wagner returns to Port Charles as Frisco Jones and he wants Felicia (Kristina Wagner) back!
Frisco isn’t the only one returning to his old stomping grounds in February;, Laura (Genie Francis) is back too! Watch this week’s GH promo below! READ MORE
What exactly has General Hospital's Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) been up to in Europe for the past five years? Showrunner Frank Valentini spoke with Access Hollywood at ABC’s TCA after party, where he offered up the skinny. Valentini stated:
“She’s coming back because Port Charles is her home and there were reasons why she was away,” he told AccessHollywood.com at ABC’s bash last Thursday, following the Television Critics Association Winter Session 2013. “I think it’ll be exciting for the audience to discover what those reasons are and to sort of stay with a little bit of the mystery of Laura’s return.”
More and more General Hospital vets are continuing to head back to Port Charles. TV Guide Magazine's Michael Logan confirmed Kin Shriner (Scotty) will return to the fictional burg on the heels of ex-wife Laura's (Genie Francis) arrival. What exactly will the former special prosecutor be up to, and how will PC's bad boy Luke (Anthony Geary) react to his return? Shriner revealed:
TV Guide Magazine: There are so many story possibilities for bad-boy Scotty. So many dames!
Shriner: There are four or five girls in that town that are ripe for some more Scotty action. Lucy has unfinished business with me, and there's Crazy Heather, Tracy Quartermaine, Anna Devane. He was involved with all of them. And then Laura, of course. I don't know what they've got planned for me. It's very hush-hush-sweet-charlotte down there at ABC these days. Back in the old days we didn't have all this texting and googling and tweeting to spoil storylines but, still, at the Luke and Laura wedding, [exec producer] Gloria Monty kept me locked in a trailer so the secret wouldn't get out that Scotty was there to catch the bouquet. So, really, nothing's changed!
TV Guide Magazine: Nothing indeed. Despite all the secrecy, there's one thing certain about Scotty's return — Luke Spencer won't like it one damn bit!
Shriner: Yeah, I don't think he'll be throwing Scotty a party. If my character showed up and was involved with Laura it would really chap Luke's hide. He would want to try and win her back, even if he has moved on with his life. This competition between them goes back 35 years so Ron has so much story to pull from. We thought the '80s at GH were wild, well, this could be even wilder. I start shooting next Tuesday [Jan. 22]. I can't wait to get my grubby hands on that script!
Amazing news, General Hospital fans! Genie Francis is returning to Port Charles as Laura Spencer for the soap's 50th Anniversary, according to EW.com.
Francis just closed a deal to reprise her role as Laura Spencer for the drama’s 50th anniversary this season. She’ll report to the sudser’s Studio City, Calif., set sometime later this month for a Feb. 11 debut, which is actually 50 days before the series’ April 1 anniversary.
It’s unclear how long Francis, a.k.a. Laura, will stick around Port Charles this time.
No. 10: Neil and Harmony, The Young and the Restless
We're sure the brass at The Young and the Restless hoped pairing uptight, buppie Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) with another sassy, sistah from the streets would generate the same kind of heat Neil's relationship with street urchin-turned-fashionista Drucilla Barber (Victoria Rowell) accomplished in the 90's. It didn't.
Man, was it painful to watch two popular, talented soap stars like St. John as Debbi Morgan—as promiscuous, recovering crackhead Harmony— attempt to manufacture chemistry where there obviously wasn't any to be found.
