It looks as if Roselyn Sanchez finally made an honest man out of Eric Winter this past weekend. The coupled married in Puerto Rico.
I'm not sure how many of you watched the new CBS Friday dramedy The Ex List but from the intial ratings not many did. I tuned in a bit early for the season premiere of Numbers and caught the preview for next week's The Ex List episode and discovered that Eric Winter (Days of Our Lives and Brothers & Sisters) will be guesting as one of the lead character's former boyfriends. I did a little digging and found the clip on YouTube. Check it out.
Single with Parents centers on a woman in her mid-30s that is trying to salvage her love life while dealing with her clinging divorced parents. Winter will play a character named Charlie, rounding out the star studded cast with Beau Bridges, Alyssa Milano and Annie Pots.
This is not Winter's first foray in the night time genre. He was last seen in the ABC smash Brothers & Sisters, as well as CBS's now defunct shows, Moonlight and Viva Laughlin.
Single with Parents is set to premiere this fall.
While the daytime soap world is in a tizzy over whether or not two gay teens should kiss or not, ABC primetime will end its season with two gay weddings, er civil unions, according to a special primetime soap edition of TV Guide Canada's The Suds Report. Don't expect to see Eric Winter (ex-Rex, Days of Our Lives) coming back to complicate things at Kevin and Scotty's season finale wedding on Brothers and Sisters.
“We’ve done the gay triangle already; it’s time to move on to something else,” Matthew Rhys (Kevin) shared with Nelson Branco at the GLAAD awards.
ABC's other Sunday night powerhouse, Desperate Housewives, will also see Bob and Lee, the gay couple who serves as the bane of Susan's existance, tie the knot during its season ender, which will reportedly flash the show forward five years.
Nelson asked DH headman Marc Cherry about the future of Tuc Watkins (Bob) on the sudser and Cherry confirmed that Watkins will be doing both Housewives and One Life to Live for the foreseeable future. Sounds like a Win/Win for ABC soap fans!
It's always great to see former soap stars pop up in primetime and this weekend was a great weekend for former soap stars guesting in new episodes of primetime TV.
CBS's Moonlight took the cake this past weekend with former soap stars. In addition to former Days of Our Lives star Eric Winter, who has joined the cast, Moonlight also featured former All My Children star William Christian (ex-Derek) and Peyton List ( ex-Lucy Montgomery, As the World Turns).
Since leaving As the World Turns List has been racking up quite the list of primetime guest roles. She's appeared on Smallville, One Tree Hill, Without A Trace, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, and Daybreak. Not to mention starring in ABC's on the bubble Big Shots.
Following up Moonlight on Friday was CBS's Ghost Whisperer where former General Hospital star Nikki Cox (ex-Gina Williams) popped up as a former love interest for professor Rick Payne, portrayed by Jay Moyr. READ MORE
