Eric Sheffer Stevens on Playing ATWT's Reid
By Luke Kerr on July 27, 2010
We Love Soaps caught up with As the World Turns star Eric Sheffer Stevens and discussed his time in the theatre, working opposite onscreen love interest Luke Snyder (Van Hansis) and clashing with Bob Hughes (Don Hastings).
We Love Soaps: Reid had battles with Luke, but he was also battling with Bob. I thought that made it really interesting and unique because Bob is the pillar of society.
Eric Sheffer Stevens: Right. He started out more well-rounded maybe than they usually do because right away he didn't just have the Luke and Noah storyline with the blindness, but he was clashing with Dr. Bob, which was really fun because I love Don [Hastings], that guy is amazing. I really admire him. And also right off the bat clashing with Trent-Henry. He had a foil to play off of instead of just being a third wheel in the Luke and Noah romance. It was really fun to do the stuff with Trent because he and I worked together six years ago. We did George Bernard Shaw's "Misalliance" in Baltimore. He's a great character actor. He's just a great actor. He's very inventive and comes up with really funny stuff to do. He does great "takes" and has a really solid background. READ MORE
Why ATWT's Ruke Rocks
By Nekeeta Borden on July 01, 2010
With the end of As the World Turns drawing near, viewers are waiting with baited breath to see if their favorite pairings will survive, or if mooning lovers like Barbara and Henry will be united for the finale. One couple I’m pulling hard for is Luke and Reid, or "Ruke", as I like to call them. These two have a delicious, grown folks kind of chemistry that just screams “love in the afternoon.”

Jake Silbermann Discusses Nuke's End Story
By Luke Kerr on May 11, 2010
In an interview with After Elton, As the World Turns’ Jake Silbermann discusses having his character Noah go blind, how he’ll react when he finds out about Luke (Van Hansis) and Reid (Eric Sheffer Stevens) and how Nuke’s storyline should wrap up when the show goes off the air this fall.
AE: How would you like to see things come to a close? At the end of the show, the last day, where do you want Noah to be?
JS: As an actor there are so many different avenues that I would love to go with this character, but I’d really like to see first and foremost an ending that satisfies the fans. The fans have been through this and I want them to be happy. I want them to know that they have some kind of closure to these characters and I think a number of fans have expressed to me that they would like to see Luke and Noah together in the end.
