Wishful Casting: Brandon Barash as Lauren's Son Scotty on The Young and the Restless!

Okay, we're all thinking it. How long will it be before The Young and the Restless showrunner Jill Farren Phelps makes a play for exiting General Hospital star Brandon Barash? Barash is one of the sexiest and most popular stars currently part of the daytime landscape; somebody better snap him up!
Barash would prove a great recast for Scotty Grainger, the writer son of Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) and the late Dr. Scott Grainger (Peter Barton). When we last saw Scotty (a pre-The Lying Game Blair Redford), he was being used as a pawn in one of Sheila Carter's (Kimberlin Brown) lethal plots against his mother.
More recently, Lauren sent her and Michael Baldwin's (Christian LeBlanc) son Fenmore (Max Ehrich) to live with his big brother, when Sheila's daughter Daisy (Yvonne Zima) was tormenting the clan. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) took Victor (Eric Braeden) to task for his plan to use Jack’s (Peter Bergman) addiction to regain control of Newman Enterprises.
Later, Adam (Michael Muhney) found Victor and revealed to his dear old daddy what had happened with the dead prostitute. Adam and Victor quickly started conspiring against Jack, or at least that’s what Adam wanted Victor to think. Adam said he can’t afford a scandal as CEO. Victor, seeing a way to get around Nikki, told his son to go to the press. After Adam left Victor, he received a call from Jack. Adam told Jack he’d needed to find out what Victor knew. READ MORE

We're sure the brass at The Young and the Restless hoped pairing uptight, buppie Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) with another sassy, sistah from the streets would generate the same kind of heat Neil's relationship with street urchin-turned-fashionista Drucilla Barber (Victoria Rowell) accomplished in the 90's. It didn't.
Man, was it painful to watch two popular, talented soap stars like St. John as Debbi Morgan—as promiscuous, recovering crackhead Harmony— attempt to manufacture chemistry where there obviously wasn't any to be found.
Kevin and Chloe Could Lose Their Home on The Young and the Restless

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) asked Gloria (Judith Chapman) for a loan, so that he and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wouldn't lose their home. Gloria refused, telling her son she doesn't have enough to help him because the insurance money hadn't come in yet.
