General Hospital Alum Drew Garrett Snags The Mentalist


 
ABC Soaps In Depth is reporting former General Hospital star Drew Garrett will guest-star on the CBS hit show The Mentalist. No word on when Garrett's episode is slated to air, but the actor stars filming next month.

Kudos to Maurice Benard and Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo as Brenda and Sonny have not missed a beat. The story behind it though, not sure I’m behind it. I must admit, it sort of bores me. Of course there is plenty coming up for Ms. Barrett who will not be Mrs. Sinclair. Not that any of us are surprised, Brenda is not going to be paired with some movie star when she can be with a mobster. It’s The Balkan and his minions that are still an issue for the philanthropic model as Brenda makes another escape from The Balkan’s men. Suzanne makes a call to the States for help. Sorry kids. Looks like former General Hospital star Drew Garrett (ex-Michael, #2) won't be appearing on The Young and the Restless. The actor will not be taking on the role of Noah Newman, previously played by Kevin G. Schmidt. Garrett's former co-star Lexi Ainsworth  (Kristina) put to rest the rumor running rampant by tweeting,
Latest: RT: tweet birds.Drew Garett is "not" heading to Y&R to replace former Noah Newman. :( I spoke to him 2nite.

 

RUMOR REPORT: Is Drew Garrett Heading To Y&R?

The internet is buzzing over a rumor that ousted General Hospital star, Drew Garrett (Ex-Michael #2) will be Genoa City bound. Y&R has yet to coment on the information. This news comes on the heels of Kevin G. Schmidt (Ex-Noah #2) announcing via twitter he will no longer play the character.

Father's Day: GH Alums Sean "A.J." Kanan and Drew "Michael" Garrett Meet

General Hospital fans hoping for an onscreen reunion between A.J. Quartermaine and son Michael may have a long time to wait to see their dreams realized, but in real life two of the actors who portrayed the roles have met. Sean Kanan, A.J. Quartermaine from 1993-1997, ran into 2010 Daytime Emmy nominee Drew Garrett, who until recently portrayed Michael, at the Official Daytime Emmy Awards Gifting Suite in Las Vegas on June 26.

Scott Clifton, Zack Conroy, and Drew Garrett share their feelings about their individual nominations, recent storylines, and overall soap experiences. SB: Would you do another soap?
DG: Absolutely.  I auditioned for an ‘All My Children‘ role, Asher. They went older, which is totally cool. I’m kind of just seeing what comes my way.  I’m staying optimistic and staying focused and going to class and working hard.
