James E. Reilly's Greatest Hits

Here's a clip from the infamous "Buried Alive" storyline from Days of Our Lives. The Reilly-penned tale, featuring Crystal Chappell (Olivia, Guiding Light) as Dr. Carly Manning, Robert Kelker-Kelly as Bo Brady, Michael Sabatino (Vince, Guiding Light) as Lawrence Alamain, Erik Von Detten as a young Nicky Alamain and the incomparable Louise Sorel as Vivian Alamain, helped catapult Days from Number 7 to Number 2 in the Nielsen Household ratings where it stayed for much of Reilly's first run as head writer of the NBC soap. The storyline saw heroine Carly being buried alive by a psychotic Vivian to prevent Carly from "stealing" Vivian's nephews Lawrence and Nicky away from her. It was also the culmination of the wildly popular Bo/Carly/Lawrence triangle that carried Days of Our Lives during the early 90's. READ MORE

Days of Our Lives: Caroline Arrested for Trent's Murder

What's this?  Caroline Brady, mother of Salem PD's finest, owner occupier of The Brady Pub and respected member of the community... arrested for murder?  Unbelievable, right?  Sadly not.  In upcoming episodes on Days of Our Lives, Bo and Hope find Caroline standing over the murdered body of Trent Robbins, bloody knife in hand.  But did she do it, or is it simply a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Nevertheless, Trent is dead and someone is responsible - but who?  Surprise, surprise, there is a list of potential suspects.  Max, Melanie, Claude and Nicole immediately spring to mind, but lets not forget other contenders such as Jawn or Victor.  Since Caroline was found standing over Trent's body with the murder weapon, I guess we should at least consider her a possibility as well - although I grant you, it's highly unlikely.  Who else has a motive to kill Trent?

Anyone within a 5 mile radius of the Brady Pub lately would have heard both Max and Melanie verbally threaten to kill Trent over his pimping out of Melanie; then there's Claude the gambling man, who wants the money Trent owes him or else.  Nicole, sick and tired of Trent threatening and blackmailing her for money, wants him to leave her alone; Jawn is still green-eyed over Trent chatting up wife Marlena and I've thrown Victor in the mix, just because he blames Trent for his treatment of Nicole (and he made that dodgy phone call about Trent on Monday's episode).  Caroline?  I can't see her ever committing murder, but she's been pretty adamant in her dislike of Max's biological father.

What do you think?  Who do you think will be/is Trent's killer?

Days of Our Lives: Caption This...

"GOTCHA!"

At least, that's what it looks like Steve is saying to John in this screencap from Tuesday's episode of Days of Our Lives.  I can just hear Stefano saying 'I would help you Steve, but I have DiMinions for that."

LOL - what is your first reaction when you see this screencap?

Days of Our Lives: Bart Back in Salem?

Just when you thought it was safe to roam the streets of Salem, it ups and changes things for you entirely.

Word on the Internet is that Steve Blackwood (ex-Bart)  may be returning to his old stomping ground  on Days of Our Lives

Could  Blackwood, who played Stefano's loyal henchman and the show's comic relief, be returning just in time for his old boss Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) return? Question, didn’t we see Bart die onscreen?

Rumor has it  Blackwood may play Bart’s twin brother this time around. Can you imagine if Days had them BOTH onscreen?  Robo-John (Drake Hogestyn) is already ruling Salem with an iron fist along.  EJ (James Scott) is now his right hand man, with Rolf (Will Utay) as his trusty sidekick. The return of Stefano and possibly a pair of twin henchmen just might prove to be more than  the Salem PD and/or the Kiriakis men can handle!

Days of Our Lives: Lucas Horton, Nerves of Steel

Just when I thought I’ve seen it all Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) goes and pulls another stunt on EJ (James Scott) and Sami (Alison Sweeney). Yesterday I fell out of my chair when I saw Lucas giving Sami an ultimatum of either her or EJ to move out of the Dimera mansion.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t that house EJ’s family home?! John )Drake Hogestyn) is still Sami’s stepfather even though Marlena (Deidre Hall) moved out. You’d think that Lucas would say, “It’s either him or me Sami,” not having her moves out where else is she going to move to since the last time I checked Sami doesn’t work. I know Lucas is on house arrest but he can also move elsewhere like he’s also been itching to do. He could move into Alice’s place and we can get a sighting of the old gal and have someone in the family homestead. Hell he can even move in with his mom and take care of her when she gets out of the hospital she will need the help. If its mansion life that he’s craving he can even bunk up with baby brother Philip, lord knows he needs a friend besides a female one right about no. READ MORE

Top 10 Most Improved of 2008

TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco has published his Most Improved Actors of 2008, naming the actors who he believes have improved dramatically in the first half of 2008.

In addition to the Most Improved Actors of 2008 Branco also  named his picks in his "Booster Club" categories including: Most Improved Soap, Most Improved Writers, Most Improved Love Story, Most Improved Network, Most Improved Magazine, Most Improved Direction, Most Improved Casting, Most Improved Producer, Most Improved Hair, Set Design, Lighting and Costume and Most Improved Opening.

So here is my question. If you were going to name your "Top 10 Most Improved Actors" so far in 2008 who would you name? I know several of Branco's picks would make my list.
