The Young and the Restless dominated the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category with three Daytime Emmy nominations for Peter Bergman (Jack), Doug Davidson (Paul) and Michael Muhney (Adam). General Hospital’s Jason Thompson (Patrick) earned his soap's only Lead Actor nod.
To commemorate The Young and the Restless’ 40th anniversary, Jeanne Cooper, Peter Bergman, Melody Thomas Scott, Jess Walton, Joshua Morrow, Michelle Stafford, Doug Davidson and Lauralee Bell will all appear on Marie Osmond’s self-titled talk show on Monday, April 1. Wednesday's The Young and the Restless opened with Doug Davidson talking about Paul Williams, his many loves and losses. He proudly reminded fans of his in-show photo spread. While I enjoyed the segment, the best part was Lauren's (Tracey Bregman) various 1980's hairstyles. I really think Y&R needs to figure out a way to bring back Peter Porte as Paul's son Ricky. Lauren (Tracey Bregman) arrived at Jamie’s (Daniel Polo) hospital room, where Michael (Christian LeBlanc) had been watching over him. She didn’t believe Fen (Max Ehrich) was responsible for Jamie's fall. After Michael left to freshen up at home, Jamie woke up briefly, and uttered Fen’s name. When Lauren asked him why he said Fen’s name, Jamie fell back to sleep in his hospital bed. Lauren continued to be in denial about Fen’s behavior or possible involvement in the crime.
