No. 10: Don Diamont, The Bold and the Beautiful
It takes panache to play a royal douchebag A-hole like The Bold and the Beautiful’s Bill "Dollar Bill" Spencer. Good thing The Young and the Restless refugee Don Diamont has panache for days!
Diamont's ever-present charisma—generally exhibited via a poop-eating-grin— turned what could have been unforgiveable instances for his character (Scheming against Hope and Liam; kissing his postpartum depression-suffering wife's big sister), into opportunities to shine in 2012. No longer does this actor deserve to be called "just another pretty boy" like he was during his early years on Y&R. Sure, the Stallion is still hella pretty, but he can also act.
No. 10: Molly and TJ, General Hospital
General Hospital has been giving us cute teen couples since Laura (Genie Francis) and Scotty (Kin Shriner). In 2012, the tradition continued when precocious Molly Lansing Davis (Haley Pullos) fell hard for TJ (Tequan Richmond), the wayward charge of Shawn (Sean Blakemore). Molly and TJ have survived parental interference, hormones and toxic water, but can the YA lovebirds contend with Todd Manning (Roger Howarth) and Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan), now that they're interning at Manning Enterprises?
Tuesday’s The Bold and the Beautiful kicked off with Rick (Jacob Young) and Caroline (Lindsey Godfrey) in the afterglow of sex, kissing and cuddling.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) was opening mail and Hope (Kim Matula) was telling her how she’ll never stop loving Liam (Scott Clifton). Why is it that anytime someone on a soap is opening mail, I flash back to bill paying and coupon clipping on Guiding Light? It must be some sort of Post Traumatic Ellen Wheeler Disorder.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) snuck into Bill’s room to find something for the baby and got a reminder of just how cocky Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) can be. She inadvertently got a royal preview of Bill’s crown jewels, as he came out of the shower. When Brooke asked if he was going to cover himself, he responded by saying most women would squeal or cover their eyes, but she didn’t. As she was leaving, Brooke told Bill he was “one of a kind.” READ MORE
Katie (Heather Tom) talked to Taylor (Hunter Tylo) about her reasons for running away from her husband and child. Katie told Taylor that she could see how Bill, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Will were perfect together, and it was in their best interest for her to step aside.
As she continued to share her worries about dying because of her heart condition, Katie revealed she only wants the best for her child. When Taylor wasn’t convinced, Katie pointed out that she should be on her side, because with Brooke out of the way, Taylor would have a shot at Ridge (Ronn Moss) when he returned. READ MORE
