It seems former Family Matters and The Young and the Restless star Darius McCrary has been very busy these days. In addition to snagging a recurring role on Charlie Sheen's FX comedy Anger Management, McCrary has released a video for the single, "Get It, Get It” for his debut album, "D List". In an interview with AlwaysAList, McCrary explained,
Music is huge in my life. I’ve been doing music all my life. Acting is what I call the wonderful accident that God placed in my life.

It looks as though Tristan Rogers (Colin) may not be the only one leaving The Young and the Restless. According to sources, Genie Francis (Genevieve) could be on her way out as well. Meanwhile, according to CBS Soaps In Depth, Sean Patrick Flannery (Sam), Eden Riegel (Heather) and Darius McCrary (Malcolm) are also being let go. Last night, Rogers announced on Twitter his character was departing Genoa City.
While the role of Malcolm Winters is currently occupied on The Young and the Restless, it's no secret some fans (including this one) will never stop clamoring for Shemar Moore to return to the sudser. Even though Moore has moved on to primetime (Criminal Minds) and film (Diary of a Mad Black Woman) success, would he ever consider gracing us with that sexy smile again in Genoa City?
"Well I can't now, Darius McCrary is playing Malcolm Winters," Moore said when I posed the question to him backstage at the Daytime Emmys in Las Vegas.
According to Moore, while he will always have fond memories of the role that made him a household name, he's moved on and won't diss McCrary's take on the role.
"Nah, nah. You're not going to get me hating on my boy!" he said laughing, when I suggested McCrary could um, take a sabbatical. "I did my time, I did 8 years on The Young and the Restless, then I left and came back briefly. I did all that. I miss The Young and the Restless, and I will always cherish my time there."
TMZ is reporting The Young and the Restless' Darius McCrary's ex-wife Karrine Steffans has filed yet another temporary restraining order against him. According to the site, Steffans alleges the incidents started in January, after McCrary allegedly showed up to her house, unannounced and harassed her through a window.
Steffans, known for her books, Confessions of a Video Vixen, The Vixen Diaries and The Vixen Manuals, claims McCrary would evade security at her gated community by entering a rear entrance and wait for her return home. Steffans claims the actor would call her up and then tell her to "look outside the window" and see him peeping. Steffans also accuses McCrary of sending her an email where she claims McCrary wrote,
You should do the world a favor and kill yourself.
It looks like we finally know what Darius McCrary was up to all of last year, when The Young and the Restless showrunner Maria Arena Bell had the character of Faux-colm (Jillian Bowe TM) on the way-back burner. The Renaissance Man was cutting a CD. Somewhere James Franco is uber pissed he didn't think of this first. READ MORE
