Soap Stars Shine on GLAAD Media Awards Red Carpet (PHOTOS)

Current and former soap stars, from The Young and the RestlessMelody Thomas Scott to Days of Our Lives grad Trevor Donovan, walked the red carpet at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards on April 20 in Los Angeles. Crystal Chappell, The Talk’s Sara Gilbert, cast members from Days of Our Lives, ex-One Life to Live stars, The Bold and the Beautiful's Linsey Godfrey and Guiding Light grad Matt Bomer also celebrated the evening.

The Bold and the Beautiful opened with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) picking up a copy of Stallion to read, while Bill (Don Diamont) was fantasizing about her in her lingerie. Apparently Stallion got Brooke in the mood. She fell asleep and promptly started dreaming of Bill. Bill interrupted Brooke's steamy dreams by waking her up with a call. He told her his needs weren't being met.

Even though everyone else had left Forrester Creations for the day, Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) was still at the fashion house. In fact, she was eating Chinese food with her mom Danielle (Crystal Chappell). Danielle told Caroline that she was worried about her.

The bratty blonde shot back that it wasn't her fault her mothers raised her in Manhattan with Park Avenue tastes. Suddenly Caroline announced she was going to get her man. I guess moo shu pork makes her as horny as reading Stallion makes Brooke.

Ex-Procter and Gamble Soap Queens Return in New Web Series

 




Former Proctor and Gamble soap divas Colleen Zenk (ex-Barbara, ATWT) and Crystal Chappell (ex-Olivia, GL; Danielle, B&B) are beginning new ventures in the web series world. Zenk stars as Agnes Snead in Thurston, a western featuring the frontier struggles of the American West. Created by Kathryn O'Sullivan, Thurston is currently in the midst of its second season

The Inn
 is the brainchild of Steve Silverman, (Pretty: The Series). The series follows Jane's (Chappell) arrival in a new town, where things might not be as they seem. Local diner owner Lola (soap legend Denise Alexander) advises Jane to speak with a man at The Inn, but fails to mention the dwelling's eerie vibe. The Inn premiered Feb. 4.

Chappell is a busy a woman on the web. She also produced and stars in The Grove, a pilot she's shopping for television. With the help of writer Paul Barber (21 Jump Street), The Grove centers on drama between two families, The Moynihans and The Kincaids.

The Grove boasts an all-star soap cast, including: Bob Woods (Bo, OLTL), Jessica Leccia (ex- Natalia, GL), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R), Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan, DAYS), Peter Reckell (ex-Bo, DAYS), Linsey Godfrey (Caroline, B&B), Judi Evans (Adrienne, DAYS), Bobbie Eakes (ex-Krystal, AMC), Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe, DAYS), Christian LeBlanc (Michael, Y&R), Beth Maitland (Traci, Y&R), and Jordan Clarke (ex-Billy, GL).
