BREAKING NEWS: Emma Samms Checks Back Into General Hospital!
By Jillian Bowe on January 12, 2012
Let the games begin! TV Line is reporting British vamp Emma Samms is returning to General Hospital. According to the site, Samms' alter ego Holly Sutton, pops back into Port Charles to lend a hand to her son Ethan (Nathan Parsons) and those crazy Spencers taking down Helena (Constance Towers). This news comes on the heels of Samms' former onscreen partners Tristan Rogers and Finola Hughes returning to GH. Samms' airdate is slated for late Feb.

TV Guide's Michael Logan is reporting Constance Towers is checking back into General Hospital, just in time for Aiden's paternity to come to light! According to Logan, Towers hits Port Charles a little sooner than expected due to Tyler Christopher's ousting at the sudser. Towers' airdate is slated for the week of June 27. Yes folks, the sound you hear is our Luke Kerr doing a back flip.
Regan Reax: Tyler Christopher's Ouster From General Hospital

When the news broke that Tyler Christopher was handed his pink slip at General Hospital, my immediate reaction was not one of shock. Once confirmed and the dust settled, I thought about what it all really meant for GH and the canvas surrounding Christopher’s character Nikolas Cassadine. Of course my second thought was that our own Luke Kerr was crying over one of the last Cassadines left leaving Port Charles. Is that the problem? Nikolas being our only real connection to the iconic Cassadines? With no story for the Cassadine family, is there a reason to keep the main connection to them?
I know, I know, he’s Laura Spencer’s (Genie Francis) son and what I’m about to say next may shock some of you. Should GH hold onto a character that is seemingly going nowhere based on a hope that IF Francis and ABC were to strike a deal, the onscreen mother and son could share a handful of scenes? Shocking, coming from me, who values the connections to characters' pasts, but it’s not Nikolas’ familial ties that I am struggling with. It’s the obvious lack of direction for this character and the Cassadines that seems to be plaguing the writer’s table. Yes, we still have Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and her girls, but the longing that Sam (Kelly Monaco) fans have had for her to explore her Cassadine roots have fallen on deaf ears.

General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
By Perkie on February 19, 2010
My Performer of the Day has got to go to Constance Towers (Helena) again, although Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) was right up there (that’s right and I’ll get to her in a minute).
I love that Helena’s away for months, heck, years and yet knows the score on everyone in town. She knows how long Liz and Nik have been at it, knows that there’s been a rift between Lucky and Liz and knows that Luke will be happy for Lucky if it turns out this isn’t Lucky’s kid. She just knows.
Lucky: “We don’t know who’s baby this is.”
Helena: “Imagine, Liz and Nikolas, rutting like animals all over Windemere for many months. I don’t think the odds are in your favour.”
Helena to Lucky: “Your love has been dead for a long time.” READ MORE

Performer of the Day: For the first 50 minutes of this episode, I couldn’t decide who would get the nod because there were a couple of good choices. Then, Constance Towers (Helena) walked into Liz’s room at Shadybrook and in a brief two minute scene, we had ourselves a winner!
Helena to Liz: “Congratulations on your promiscuity. Certainly seems to be what you do best. How wonderful of you to check yourself into Shadybrook. Half of my work is done for me.”
It just doesn’t get any better than Helena at her psychotic, snarky finest. READ MORE
General Hospital Spoilers!

Here’s the Scoop!
Casting news came out this past week… Former GL star Bradley Cole is coming on as Kiefer’s father. So far it’s only for a few episodes. We’ll touch on the actual storyline later on. The other casting news is that Maya Ward finally got a face. Annie Ilonzeh has been cast, but who will she be mixing it up with? RUMOR has it, it’s a Spencer! We had heard she might be ruffling Lucky’s feathers, but Lucky is a little busy with a cheating fiancé and betraying brother. That leaves one Spencer son available to mix it up with Maya.
Speaking of the betraying brother… Now that the psycho granny is back in town, what is in store for the Cassadine Clan? I mentioned the possible delay of the Valentin story while they try to figure out where it fits in. Could the possible delay be a little more certain? I heard that Constance Towers MAY only be signed on to be at Prospect Studios for the current storyline. How do you tell a huge Cassadine storyline without Helena? READ MORE
